People are only mad because Android isn't at the top yet.
I don't have to do anything.
You are perfectly within your rights to spend copious amounts of money on inferior technology every month when a new one comes out.
Hey, that sounds just like Android.
Posting from a macbook.
The only reason Apple is ahead is because of the App Store, without that they would have gone down LOTS.

People bitch and moan at Apple for things like this: http://www.scribd.com/doc/61944044/Community-Design-000181607-0001
That's the patent for the iPad, a glowing rectangle. Just look what they did to Samsung with the Tab 10.1 and they're doing it to Motorola now with the XOOM.

One manufacturer vs hundreds of others. I found getting an android device is like getting a new computer. It comes loaded with all this manufacturer bloat and shit that isn't consistent across android.

For now. Fingers crossed Ice Cream samich comes with a little more restrictions for the manufacturer.
Until Steve Jobs dies, and then the company immediately goes bankrupt.
I don't get how anyone with an IQ above 60 could think this is alright. Everything about them is designed to suck the most possible money out of you while giving you the lowest possible satisfaction. They design all of their products to go out of date as soon as possible, just to suck more money out of people. Sure, this is great for making money, but those of you that can actually think, why do you actually want to buy their shit products? Everything they do has been done better (if not prettier), and their morals are somewhere on the level of a serial rapist.

Android is way superior than Apple but I enjoy the iPod Touch and iPad, and I also like the games in the app store.
Pfft, no way on earth I'd ever own a Mac. No thank you.

its an illusion analogy

Because GOD FORBID you'll have to spend 5 minutes customizing it to your exact usage.
Or read a 5 minute guide on how to flash it with a new ROM that fits your exact needs.
So unless you're technophobic but still wanna live in the 21st century I don't see the problem here.
Apple is a money hog. By looking at what they sell their desktops for you are paying around 400-600$ for the operating system alone, which is total bullshit.

There’s another thing about Android that annoyed me that I didn’t mention in the other post.
When I heard about Android I imagined a kewl OS like iOS, made by Google, on a phone. Like iOS you’d get periodic updates that would update the entire iOS and make it even cooler. If you had a new phone it would be exactly the same OS - just on a newer, faster phone. All your apps and settings would be the same, just transferred.
Except in the real world it doesn’t work like that. Google kicks out Android, then Samsung or whoever get it, modify it and add a bunch of junk all over it and then kick it out.
The handset providers want to make their phone stand out - so instead of having a generic OS on the phone with specialized versions of Android on each handset. Which is kind of a lesser version of how it was before Android where each provider had their own OS.
The only slight advantage nowadays is that you can root your phone and install a custom build of Android on it to get it exactly how you want. But it’s 2011 - who the fuck wants to mess around doing that shit?

If you want that then there are Nexus devices that deliver just that.
Enough of this, Android hasn't got much to do with Apple's current state in the stock market and such in relation to Exxon.

Last time I checked nearly all Android phones came with a manufacturer customised version of Android. Just as well the reason I ditched my Sony Ericsson Xperia was because it came bloated with unnecessary shit as well as Sony background processes constantly running draining my battery. I also can't update Android until Sony get's off their asses and releases it's bloat filled update.

Baby should've flashed CM7 on that bitch then.
Baby should've flashed CM7 on that bitch then.
The point is you shouldn't have to
Baby should've flashed CM7 on that bitch then.
Unfortunately flashing phones isn't consistent and finding resources on how to do so is very limited and most of which is outdated.
[Apple's] morals are somewhere on the level of a serial rapist.
I resent that!
The point is you shouldn't have to
True, but that doesn't mean you can't.
Good thing Google IS making it better for the customers though.

I don't want to have to go through the effort of flashing my device when I shouldn't have to. Just as well the lack of good apps on the Android is limited. (Mostly of which are probably specific to my needs, SSH, IRC, SFTP)
