thats a bit more than "basically tipping a few books over on accident"
I literally was sitting down, and bumped them with my shoulder when coming up. :v:
How does a 4th grader get put on parole?
How does a 4th grader get put on parole?
Easy. Don't fuck up, and if you do... Juvi! Edit: I just realized I fucking mixed up Parole and Probation. Yupppp. I'm an idiot!
The teacher should have no business stealing someone else's property regardless of the length of time. If someone is being a twat with their cell phone, kick both them and their cell phone out of the class.
Kick a middle/high schooler out of class...... Boy, that sure is a tough punishment for kids who don't want to be in that class to begin with....
Only in america do you have police attacking school girls over their own cellphones. Surprised they didn't shoot her "SHE'S GOT A PHONE!" *blam blam blam blam blam blam*
-
From my perspective, this seems INCREDIBLY fucked up for a school.
(story)
What part of the states were you in if I may ask? It seems so surreal to me to have heavily policed schools like that.
What part of the states were you in if I may ask? It seems so surreal to me to have heavily policed schools like that.
I was in Arizona at the time. The reason for the police in the area of the first case was in part to a string of attempted kidnappings of girls at our school.
or just give the fucking phone in and tell your folks you broke the rules to pay the fine NOT VICTIM BLAMING I'M JUST SAYING THIS ENTIRE THING COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED BY JUST FOLLOWING THE SCHOOL RULES YES I'M A HUGE BUZZKILL PLEASE DON'T INVITE ME TO YOUR PARTIES This is gross overreaction though, especially to a simple thing like this. It's not like she was threatening to fuck someone up. Hope the people involved get a punishment suitable to the action.
Seems that the more I hear about police brutality, the more I'm beginning to think that "the bad apples" are in control of the police force and our police force is an example of terrorism. Everyday, there is murder, everyday there is theft... everyday there is a police beating the shit out of someone, no matter what age you are, no matter what race you are... they will beat you down before arresting you... call in the swat on innocent people to show you fear, and boy the more i hear the activities of the swat being used to almost anything, this is an example of fear... an example of terrorism to show of power and the fucked up laws we have. no wonder America is falling into pieces and getting eat up by some cancer in the system... it's probably already stage 3 already.

We just have lost the perspective of this cause we haven't been so exposed to it like this before, we've just come close to it. but with the age of the internet, we've created a whole new medium to transport information, and with that, we gain perspective. now don't take all this as some sort of justification just cause it's been around all along, it's totally out of fucking line and should never have been here in the first place. but we're humans, most of us are adults, we can work this out and make sure shit like this doesn't happen in the first place.
How does a 4th grader get put on parole?
By "tipping a few books over by accident" in policestate USA
also i'm just going to say the buzzword police-state annoys the shit outta me. most of the police actually doing this shit are doing it cause they're bad fucking police, not because obama or whoever commands them to. they rarely get off scott-free with it and even then, we have the freedom of speech to call them shitheads and make sure their word is not trusted. we have the power to overpower them via words, peaceful protest, and other actually legal avenues of doing this. obama told the press that what the police were doing in fergisson was terrible. this should say something.

Not really surprising she wouldn't just hand over the phone. and yeah let's just blindly accept really stupid fucking rules and pay a fine for a stupid ass reason no
No school should be able to take away a students belongings for longer than until the end of the school day.
No school should be able to take away a students belongings for longer than until the end of the school day.
They're not in Scandinavia at least.
I have been going to school for 13 years and haven't seen a single police officer anywhere in or near the school ever. Is it that normal in the US for schools to call the police over stupid bullshit like this? Is this normal outside of America?
Oh my god those are solid gold
It's a lot less funny when you live with these fucking people
I was in Arizona at the time. More and more folks seem to forget their own rights just to "keep the peace" and "abide by the rules". Not taking in consideration the retardation of those rules.
No school should be able to take away a students belongings for longer than until the end of the school day.
my high school would occasionally enforce per-teacher confiscation rules where teachers would try and take your phone and force you to have a parent pick it up even in senior year when all the kids are 18 legal adults who pay for their own phone, while simultaneously assigning certain homework assignments that were only visible via a mobile application lol

Also it's two separated incidents. The first incident was in relation to the 4th Grade, second incident was the 7th Grade. The only detail I'm ommitting is for the second story is where I was in discussion with the principle and because of the instance of me threatening the people on the bus, they questioned the validity of my story. As also said later in the post, the officer who was called to have me charged for disturbing the peace pretty much told them to go fuck themselves, and from there the district played in the dark.

The officers here literally have an office down the hallway from where this occurred.
This so much. More and more folks seem to forget their own rights just to "keep the peace" and "abide by the rules". Not taking in consideration the retardation of those rules.
Learning to follow rules that you don't agree with in school is good practice for your first job, where not following the dumb rules will get you fired instead of scolded, and the more responsibility you have the more dumb rules you are likely going to have to deal with.

Not taking in consideration the retardation of those rules.
The district makes you sign the code of student conduct and some other shit that likely varries from school to school during the first week of every school year. I would sneak my way around them early on but, they started calling people up to the office to get you or your parents to sign.
