Google finally listens to people and will not require you to use a Google+ profile for Google servic

They probably realized that shoving it into YT wasn't enough to make people actually use it.
This whole G+ thing fucked up comments.
I've had people comment on my videos, even some asking me questions. But ever since the G+ update, I've been unable to reply to half of them.
Their comments just don't have a reply button.
Many of those instances is people who, hating G+ and protested, disabled communications inside of their G+ profile. Thereby blocking replies.
Get pissed off at those users, because they made G+ even worse.

Why would I get pissed off at users using a flawed system?

I'm not saying G+ isn't broken.
But the user base made it a magnitude worse from a channel operation standpoint.

Good, because that just shows you shouldn't FORCE it on people.
Finally. A shit ton of Bob meme thing later, we finally won!

After having the new comments system implemented, it's much nicer as a channel operator than it was before. I don't like G+ or the way it was forced upon it, but I do like the result it brought from my perspective. I can keep tabs on discussions much more easily than before.
Though since YT said they'll keep the settings and features, I wonder how much was due to G+ and how much was due to them simply overhauling the system.
Thank you Google, my boss actually checked out my G+ and wound up looking through my Youtube favs.
Nothing to hide but still
There's a thing called 'privacy' google. I don't want my full name showing up on youtube.
Too bad I had to go through the convoluted process of 'disconnecting' my youtube channel from google+ and then deleting my google+ profile, just to find out I can't comment.
but you never needed to use your real name

google+ just gave me an account for my g+, but it also allowed me to keep using my youtube account
This is a welcome change. Now I can get rid of my fake email/google+ account for Youtube. I wish i could get my old youtube username back though.
you can literally make multiple channels with their own name with the g+ change. literally not a complaint about it
