It doesn't, but allowing his image to stand would be wrong.

40 women over decades accused him, he admitted it himself that he used drugs with the intent of rape, he did it during his prime when nobody would listen to people accusing him... What the fuck do you need? Sure, you couldn't legally convict him, but any reasonable person would at the least count that as considerable evidence against him.
I'm not a believer in trial by public opinion.
I always find this retroactive censorship stupid; Disney added that bust there in 1994 for a reason, whatever other things Cosby did doesn't change why Disney added that bust there. Too many people, I think, want the world to be this black and white thing where people are good or bad, to the point where whenever someone does something bad that immediately erases (or requires the erasal of) whatever good things they have done as well. Cosby, if he is guilty, should be punished as any other person who did the same thing would be. But regardless of what bad things he has done, he clearly had a positive impact at some point, and that shouldn't be hidden.
I'm less concerned for Bill Cosby the person than I am for his collective works, some of which are American Classics. I'm worried that his considerable contributions to American comedy will be lost as it becomes unacceptable to appreciate his art. Richard Wagner was a famous anti-Semite, a horrible racist. If he had lived long enough no doubt would he have been a fan of Hitler. His music ostensibly became the theme music of the Nazi Party, yet we still play Wagner on the radio because there's an understanding that Richard Wagner the musical genius was better and more important than Wagner the man. I don't want to see Cosby the comedic genius to be purged from history just because of the actions of Cosby the man. I just hope that society will be able to reconcile the difference between the two entities.
Disney employee here, can confirm. They pulled it off its column the other night after the park closed, pretty quietly. [editline]9th July 2015[/editline] That's weird that the article says they "will" pull it off, because its already gone.
That's weird that the article says they "will" pull it off, because its already gone.
The article is quoting a statement from the company when they announced the removal, which was the day it was removed.
Cosby already admitted to drugging women he had sex with/intended to have sex with. That already constitutes rape, as a drugged woman or any person for that matter is not fully conscious enough to give full consent.
It kinda does though. Peeing in the punch bowl makes the punch worse, but doesn't really make the pee any better. Doesn't matter how good the punch is, there will always be the taste of pee.
noticed these book have lost their value on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Am-What-Ate-frightened-Digressions/dp/0060545747 I Am What I Ate...and I'm frightened!!!: http://www.amazon.com/Love-Marriage-Bill-Cosby/dp/0553284673/ref=pd_bxgy_14_img_y Love and Marriage
I just hope we can still call them "cosby sweaters" years down the line.
