Caffeine can do that too, though.
What about grenades? Maybe every MRE should come with shots of alcohol made in each individual country it originates from.
kinda surprised how lavish the french ones are, though its kinda interesting how many cans they use vs like everybody else [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] [t]http://www.mreinfo.com/images/ru/russian-ration-th-parts05-2.jpg[/t] russian rations, note all the crackers contains Crackers (literally “Amy loaves”), Assorted canned meat and vegetables: barley porridge, boiled buckwheat, rice with beef ,Assorted canned meats – sausage stuffing, liver pate ,Stewed beef,Beverage concentrate,Fruit jam ,Tea with sugar ,Caramel candy,Sugar, Multivitamins, and a disposable sterno [t]http://www.mreinfo.com/images/ru/russian-ration-th-parts07-150.jpg[/t] [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] more on the little stove [t]http://www.mreinfo.com/images/ru/russian-ration-th-parts12.jpg[/t]
copious amounts of tea bags
apparently this is only slightly improved over the original soviet union's rations
I like how most of these MRE's fit with their countries stereotypes.
While there are Bear Paws snacks in the Canadian ration pack, there's the shocking omission of maple syrup.
Fucking bear paws lmao
Fucking bear paws lmao
When I was in the army I pissed off the dude handing out rations and he always stepped on my Bear Paws or poked holes in them and left them stale [editline]26th February 2014[/editline] It was about 60% of the reason I left

wow ours are just a bunch of shit they found in supermarkets and some packaged meals to be reheated with paraffin tabs. it's plenty though, people are saying you could eat every meal for two days with one (it's recommended for a single day, I guess that's because of the calorie count) [t]http://fotos.subefotos.com/e579aa391aa713e4edb4d5ba822616a9o.jpg[/t] [t]http://fotos.subefotos.com/0ab1d05218519400e3a24e72705a0a85o.jpg[/t] Loosely on topic, I remember a local university was working on high-calorie high-nutrient prepackaged food for emergencies/homeless people, my mom was working on that project and she brought over a few bags. It was really good for something dehydrated and that could be stored for years in a bunker or whatever. Best goddamn lentil stew I've ever had.

I wonder if there's a place to buy MRE's from other countries. I'd love to try one from Denmark and other countries. U.S. MRE's are boring.
beef rav
i ordered two cases about two weeks ago for the hell of it some are delicious, others are aweful i'm scared to try the tuna
The Australian ration pack has more small treats than any of the others. Most of it is packaged by the military, from a serving of love-it-or-hate-it Vegemite to jam sandwich biscuits and a tube of sweetened condensed milk. The bag includes a can-opener-cum-spoon for getting at the Fonterra processed cheddar cheese, and main meals of meatballs and chilli tuna pasta. There are lots of sweets and soft drinks, and two unappetising-looking bars labelled "chocolate ration".
What

Jaanus keeps sending them rations home by the ton. The breakfast things are the best, also the chili con carne.
Estonia's and France's are the best I've tried an MRE, it's just enough calories to keep you alive but no to much so that you are satisfied (probably so that you're pissed off all day)
Norwegians need their tooty frooties

I've always thought they were plenty. Could be I just have a slower metabolism.
http://www.mreinfo.com/ Literally a website dedicated to military rationsm mostly US but also international.
Oh my god we have fucking Cheez-Its.
From what I've seen, our rations seem pretty okay, apart from some canned meat/luncheon. Never eaten one of those though.

It included a 2-day camp in forest when it was still snow around. The only things keeping me warm back then was the feeling of that pate with peppers (I didn't even bother warming them up). Although, what the heck, we didn't get sausages.
if you ever get an MRE, AVOID THE FUCKING OMELETTE, its fucking disgusting
if you ever get an MRE, AVOID THE FUCKING OMELETTE, its fucking disgusting

The Menu Item No. 4 was created by an ancient evil lurking within the depths of hell itself. What does this have to do with us? Well this is precisely why 29 Palms exists as a base! It’s no secret that Charles Manson believed the gates to hell were somewhere in the Mojave Desert–namely the Joshua Tree and 29 Palms area. When this was discovered by the United States government, the seized the area knowing it would be of high value. After all, controlling the gates of Hell itself has to be quite a trump card in the world of government super powers. Once they had it in their possession, however, they couldn’t figure out exactly how to get the powers of hell and Satan actually into the government system. After some exploration of the caves and chambers of Lucifer’s caverns, they found that a sludge-like substance was growing on the rocks and rotting corpses within. Through research they discovered that this substance embodied all of the evil that hell represents into a convenient and (sort of) edible form. Armed with this knowledge, the government quickly turned the demonic sludge into a packaged MRE menu item to feed to the troops–knowing that feeding this pure evil would empower the US Marines and soldiers with super demon-powers; and thus, the Cheese and Vegetable Omelet was born!
Source: http://terminallance.com/2010/03/09/terminal-lance-19-the-mr-e-mystery-2/
Cheese Tortellini is the best one. It has a damn ranger bar, son.
