Pretty sure they make children's clothing.

It's and Native American name idiot.

It is and Native American? Native American and what?

Everyone calls it the MRAP, including in military circles.
It's like the AT4. Its official designation is the M136, but nobody calls it that.
It doesn't take much to make them road legal, and I'd get rid of the motor it has now and throw in a Duramax or Maybe a chevy LS block. AC I could care less about, I always drive with the windows down even on 90+ days (AC smell makes me sick).
Fun fact, Oshkosh also makes like every cement mixer out there!
I saw the name Oshkosh and had to do a double take, had no idea they did defense contracts.

They actually make the vast majority of medium to heavy-duty trucks used by the US military.

AC smell? It's literally just cold air unless your system has drainage problems and is moldy. That or your cabin air filter needs changing.

Do you know what refrigerants are?
Wonder what the fuel consumption's like... can't be any worse than a Hummer.
If it doesn't have any armor, and isn't carrying much, they get like 8 mpg highway and 4 mpg city.

If you can smell refrigerant then you have bigger problems. It does not contact the air you breathe at all.

they also own Pierce - the company that makes a shitload of pretty firetrucks
I am really surprised that the turret is still on there. At this point I'd expect the gun to be remotely controlled. The additional weight of all that armor as well as the increased drag is going to hurt the mobility of any vehicle that size. Plus a remote turret could do things like automatically adjust for drop and lead on moving targets as well as utilize IR cameras. Hell, with the right software it could straight up look in all directions for signs of life much more effectively than a person.
We've fielded them for a decade.

While I'm certain they could be mounted, I'm surprised they are not the standard now.
what kind of a fucking name is oshkosh
It's named after the city the company is based in, Oshkosh, WI, which is named after a Native American chief from the Menominee Tribe that is native to the region.

I'm fairly certain i don't have an AC leak in my, or everyone elses car. It's probably just the smell of the plastic that circulates the air, but i only smell it when the AC is on. I don't when there's heat or just regular air circulating.
It's crazy how quickly Iraq changed the way we build vehicles, sadly it also was not nearly quick enough nor was it entirely unforseen that the people there might react with ieds
Still some of these things were designed and produced in a year, now that the emergency is over we can apply that to one vehicle that hopefully will be cheaper and easier to maintain while retaining the same strenghs of what we built for iraq

It's probably just a placebo effect.
I've never heard anyone complain or even mention a smell from ACs.

I don't know if they are the standard yet, but they are fairly common on the MATVs. One major disadvantage that the turret has is that it reduces the number of soldiers able to dismount to 3. I'd also imagine that it'd harder to reload the gun

Yeah, they mostly do service-support vehicles, like the LHS or the 5-ton.
