Also BOYCOTT USA!
It's not even really Communist anymore.
Most communist countries never even try to practice what they preach.

Well they do have the human rights record of any communist country so in my book they're cool.

That's a standard rule of FP.
Hardly. It's idiotic because a plethora of people who support freedom of speech are bitching about how it's supporting communism and the like, but it's not, it's saying "Good Work China! Go team!". And anyone who doesn't support the right to this display is a fucking moron, ♥.
Not nearly as important. Perhaps you don't understand the gigantic ties we have to them...? If the USSR had collapsed earlier than it did, the US would have faired fairly well. If China collapses now, we collapse with them. We might have been indirectly tied to the USSR in some form, but we are currently directly dependent on China. That's more important.
You don't seem to understand politics that well. Being reliant on a country doesn't mean you're friends or even that you like them. We are economic partners, that's all. Our government doesn't really like China and we have been close to war with them more than once.
China is neither our ally nor our enemy (unless we make them one)

...You're just... No.
Not at all. You don't understand politics. Are you going to go against a country that you're totally dependent on survival for? No. Our government hasn't been close to war with China in 30 something years. Reliant is the wrong word. Dependent. There's a difference. You don't understand economics, or politics, and yet you're still lecturing people in them.

What about the Incident where the PRC was threatening to invade the ROC and we sent our navy to Taiwan to help protect them? China was threatening us with Nuclear Weapons. We were pretty damn close to war and our mutual dependence was the one of the only things keeping us from going to war.
Having Economic ties is a first step to friendship, but it doesn't make you friends. We can hate someone while still being dependent on them. China isn't going to help us out with our wars, and has in fact defended our enemies(North Korea, even now). We aren't going to help them out with any major crisis they get into either. Like the other guy said, we are neither friends nor enemies, we are just partners.
The problem is you don't seem to understand what an ally really is.

China is dependent on us, we are reliant on them, we sever ties and shit will go down in the United States, but it will be TINY compared to what would happen in China.
It would be like stopping a nation mid-Industrial Revolution, millions would lose their jobs and the nation would lose much of it's GDP growth, they'd be back where they were before all this happened, only they have more pollution.
lol shat up guy were just hapy for china gota let them know we like dem lol dat wai we put UP A FUCKING COMMUNIST THEMED LIGHT SHOW ON THE FUCKING EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

No one ever said they're not allowed to do it, just that they shouldn't.
Also, I'm not fit? Guards! Take this man away and behead him! :toughguy:
It's beside the point whether I agree with it or not. Communism is the anti-thesis of capitalism and capitalism is the economic system that my country is currently sponsoring.
You do realize that they aren't actually Communists, right?
That's just what they label their Governmental system as.
[editline]05:00PM[/editline]
Also we are major economic wealth drinking pals with China so of course we'll congradulate them on their Anniversary even though we hate their wife and think shes a whore.
It's what pals do.
China is about the exact opposite of communist.

You couldn't have said it better because he said something that's wrong.
