When they first marched they had to wear masks, and now banks, businesses, and political parties all have floats. Lots of community organizations have been spawned from it.

You're all somewhat contradicting yourselves. You're telling Melnek that he just met a stupid group of gays, but yet you're saying that these parades are somehow going to stop the stupid group of people that are discriminating on gays. I think society as a whole has already understood that gays aren't going anywhere and really it doesn't matter. They are people and their sexual preference should be of no concern to you. People are going to be jerks to them no matter how many parades they hold or what the government does. They don't need to go around parading about their sexuality, it just leads to more problems and causes more hatred, people will see that bad apple in the parade and will instantly close their mind up and think that all gays are horrible. Heck even I did it unknowingly a few posts above.

Yes! Russia seems to have some sense unlike Obama over in the USA. Well, at least Obama hasn't actually started any "parades", but I believe that if he is let to run free the United States will be filled with gay parades from coast to coast; all in the name of "equality". Parades are just ways to get attention, and gay parades are just a waste of time and a blight upon a country. Instead of doing something instructive the paraders go around throwing their filthy habits into people's faces and blocking off the streets to show that they are indeed "different".
