OKay, I'm gonna ask. How are they playing this? No videocard natively plays the cell shading engine contained within the PS3.
These shit for brains leak this content but how are you going to fucking play it?
With their new, hacked PS3s? :P
How do you normally play a pirated Xbox 360 game?
With their new, hacked PS3s? :P
True....
Like I said in the Crysis 2 Leak thread... It may encourage people to buy it... Then again, if it sucks balls, maybe not...
How do you normally play a pirated Xbox 360 game?
You can run those emulators though because 360 is pretty much a crappy tower.
holy shit
I guess this is the reason PS3 piracy hasn't really taken off.
Like I said in the Crysis 2 Leak thread... It may encourage people to buy it... Then again, if it sucks balls, maybe not...
The Crysis 2 Beta leak got me to buy it. I didn't even know it was coming out soon, let alone want it, until I tried the beta.

And hey, if people don't like it and decide to not get it after playing the leak, good for them. They didn't spend money on something they were going to ultimately hate. Now they have saved themselves money that would have otherwise been wasted.
I guess this is the reason PS3 piracy hasn't really taken off.
And it's a damn good way to stop it from happening; make your games *huge*. Can you even buy normal blu-ray discs that have that much space?
That will show, at least, to the devs that even games from consoles can be pirated, not only PC.
pc gaming is a really crappy market now.
you've got people who are trying to make an honest effort reviving old franchises, (deus ex) and what do the fans do? they step all over them, they get all pissed because the new game isn't a carbon copy of the original. then you've got the pirates, who are essentially causing a tonne of lost sales. and finally, you have to deal with the fact that you're targeting a niche industry; console games sell much better than their pc counterparts.
That will show, at least, to the devs that even games from consoles can be pirated, not only PC.
And even more DRM is on the way.
tl;dr pc gaming is dying because of its douchebag fanbase

yep.
Fuck no who would pirate this?
ITS FUCKING 40 FUCKING GIGABYTES FOR FUCKS SAKE.
And even more DRM is on the way.
The crysis leak was a beta leak with no DRM, DRM isn't even related to this yet. Hopefully they realize that DRM has nothing to do with any of these scenarios.

Uh nope. More like PC gaming will always exist and can't possibly die until we do away with a household computer as we know it today.
That will show, at least, to the devs that even games from consoles can be pirated, not only PC.
Console games have always been pirated and always will. I'd go as far saying its easier. Once what ever method is preventing pirated games from being played on a console is cracked then its done till a new hardware revision (With hardware cracks anyway).
I guess its even easier now that consoles use discs that can be read and burnt by PC's

So people shouldn't complain if they don't like what someone is doing to an IP that they do like? If Valve announced Half-Life 3 was gonna be a turn-based RPG, you bet your ass the fans would be angry. They'd want Gabe hung from the highest pole. And like I, and others, have been saying, the pirates have negligible effects on the gaming market and it was shown that pirates were more likely to purchase the media than non-pirates.

It'll be done downloading 3 weeks after it's released.
Another big game leaked just after Crysis 2? This sounds very suspicious if you ask me, wouldn't be surprised if it was an strategically placed leak to have an excuse to restrict/enclose even more the PS3 system
No it didn't. Killzone 3 comes out next week. Their are physical copies of the game at every single retailer you in the US already. Although they cannot be legally sold by such retailer.

I know that, but devs just tend to blame the PC for being more responsible of pirated games, which is completely wrong and stupid.
Like Capcom and SSIV for example
[editline]13th February 2011[/editline]
Look even MvC3 had been leaked since a week or two

There's no emulator for Xbox360, bro.
yep.
Looking around I see that a 50gb blu-ray disc is around $60, what the fuck's the point in that
You didn't read my post did you? I said it's Bad enough someone inside leaked it, it just does NOT HELP that there are people who WOULD HAVE bought it, but decide NOT TO. Those are lost sales, not some guy who would have NEVER bought it, these people WOULD have bought it.
whos the fucking almighty person who let you see into the minds of millions of people and give you the knowledge that they're not going to buy the game
these things are fucking buggy as HELL, everyone is going to buy them except for the pirates who would not have done so when the finished product was released
this isn't the illegal download community here, these are leaks. not cracks not pirated games
Looking around I see that a 50gb blu-ray disc is around $60, what the fuck's the point in that
There's a loader for hacked PS3's so you can load games directly from it's HDD.
But with games that size, the harddrive's gonna be filled up quickly
Why leak when theres a beta out? :colbert:
Most pirates i've seen, want to buy good games. And they often do.
You don't have to pirate to buy good games. You just have to exercise self-control and common sense. I've liked all the games that I've bought because I usually wait a few weeks before I make a decision to buy it or not. I look at professional reviews, solo reviews, popular opinion, as well as gameplay footage, interviews, and judgments based on previous titles from that company. I think the only games that I bought spontaneously were Dragon Age and Dead Space 2, and I found both of them fun.
