It's the only site I've ever seen that conducts large-scale raids against itself, so this wouldn't surprise me. 4chan has always struck me as populated by radicals of one kind or other and, though I've never actually seen them, this stinks of their own work. Until responsibility is claimed, I guess we'll just have to speculate.

The only boards I've ever visited were the wallpaper and high res boards. I'll miss those, but to be honest I don't really care if 4chan exists or not.

We could also monitor some Anonymous users who participated in the attack, and arrest those who are under 18 years old, to give Wikileaks a reputation of being immature and unserious.

I remember reading yesterday that 4chan had been down earlier in the day due to a DDoS by another imageboard, 7chan, I think. The DDoS was supposedly discussed on 7chans /b/. I don't know if the two events are connected, or if what I read was wrong, but it may have just been some pals pal'in around.
I don't see why people seem to hate 4chan, /g/ is a pretty cool place.

Pretty sure it's programming notation, it's easier to read and type.

Irony is when you expect an outcome and a condtradictory outcome occurs, NOT when anything you didn't expect happens. The guys from 4chan set out to DDoS Mastercard and VISA and they were successful. Having someone DDoS them in retribution is not ironic.

Because knowing the definition of irony makes me a narcisistic prick, right? I'm just sick of people seeing ANYTHING and going "lol irony", when most of the time it isn't. I'm not pretending to be deep and intellectual, I never said I was and never meant to imply I was.
