CFC? Never heard of it.
http://www.google.com/search?q=chlorofluorocarbons The should tell you what you need to know. With that out of the way, ignore'd.
The reason I never heard of it was because none of my Schools taught me about it.
Yes Glaber, because it's obvious that you stop learning after you're done with school. :downs:
Global warming isn't really a good to describe what's happening to the planet. Climate change is better.
No, "climate change" was the term coined to placate ignorant conservatives who said "see hurr there's snow there dun be no global warmin here no siree ron paul 2012". "Global warming" is completely accurate because global temperatures are rising
Ever thought that I focused more on something other than Science after school?
Ever thought that I focused more on something other than Science after school?
That right there That post Read it and realize why you shouldn't talk about science
The reason I never heard of it was because none of my Schools taught me about it.
funny because i remember learning about cfcs in 7th grade
Ever thought that I focused more on something other than Science after school?
Thank you for admitting that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, at least in regards to this subject. Now apply that logic, and ask yourself the same thing every time you post: "Do I actually know anything, or is it just ignorant pre-chewed arguments that I'm about to spout" Quality of your posts will increase, I promise.
It helps that if I look something up that they at least mention the parts I need to know.
Glaber, what do I do when I see a thread about quantum mechanics? I sit back and watch unless I want to ask a question. If I start stating things I'll look like a moron, so I don't. So from now on whenever you see a thread about politics, religion, society, science, math, or history you should do the same

If the answer to that question if a resounding yes, they likely have your ass kicked preemptively on that argument and it would be unwise to post.
It helps that if I look something up that they at least mention the parts I need to know.
look it up on wikipedia, not the drudge report
It's funny how things change to make it work in favor of the Europeans, at one time it's all "oh no we have to pay much higher taxes for gas and whatnot so it evens out", and at other time it's "oh you stupid fat americans we've been dealing with this shit for years welcome to the real world" Make up your damn minds.

Prices going up in America means prices go up everywhere. The difference between America and the rest of the world is we deal with it, while Americans seem to bitch about every extra cent the price goes up. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline] Seriously, every other week there's a "Oh noes, gas went up 3 cent. We're doomed" thread from some American. Guess what, it goes up everywhere else too. We just don't need to whine about it all the damn time.
Multiply the price by at least 12 to 15 gallons and then by at least a fill up about every week or 2 weeks and then you see the cost we complain about. What I'm saying do [Gas price] X [number of gallons you want or need] and then multiply that total with [how many times a month you fill up]
it takes oil to generate serious electricity it also takes oil to build those cars, and to fully replace every vehicle with an internal combustion engine would be catastrophic and cause a huge debt / take generations to achieve
that's not at all true. Nuclear reactors produce serious energy. Thorium reactors will produce much more energy than oil ever could. As for replacing cars? That's a fantastic way to build the economy.
Multiply the price by at least 12 to 15 gallons and then by at least a fill up about every week or 2 weeks and then you see the cost we complain about.
yes because europeans only buy a gallon of gasoline a month
Multiply the price by at least 12 to 15 gallons and then you see the cost we complain about.
It's not like we buy petrol a litre at a time over here. You measure by the standard unit (US$/gallon). For example, in America it costs $2.78/gallon, while in the UK it's $6.59/gallon and in Sweden it's $6.40/gallon.
Glaber doesn't seem to understand that not the whole world revolves around america.
I'm asking people to do the math for the prices that we in America are Really complaining about. The article is about Gas prices in the US after all. Now think about, if gas is $5 a gallon, and you get payed a minimum wage of $7.25, work part time (4 hour days), and get payed after every 2 weeks. That means that if you have to get 12 gallons, you have to pay at least $60. I don't like having to pay that much for gas!
I'm asking people to do the math for the prices that we in America are Really complaining about. The article is about Gas prices in the US after all.
I already told you prices are 2 fucking 78 per fucking gallon you fucking retard. Fuck. What, you want me to dredge up individual prices from around the country? And how does that stop prices being 3 fucking times higher in Europe?
I wish we had 5$ gas...
Oh noes, I pay $41.70 for 15 gallons of gas, boo fucking hoo. In the UK you pay $98.85 for the same amount.
I think it's pretty safe to put Glaber on ignore list because in the past 500-600 posts of his I haven't seen a single intelligent notion uttered
Put who on the what?
Oh noes, I pay $41.70 for 15 gallons of gas, boo fucking hoo. In the UK you pay $98.85 for the same amount.
I'd pay 107.0658 U.S. dollars for that amount. (Germany)
I'd pay 107.0658 U.S. dollars for that amount. (Germany)
And I've never seen you, nor anyone else from Germany, complain about oil prices. Are you learning something here Glaber? Hmm? I doubt it.
7.4 USD / gallon here in Sweden.
I already told you prices are 2 fucking 78 per fucking gallon you fucking retard. Fuck. What, you want me to dredge up individual prices from around the country?
And I've never seen you, nor anyone else from Germany, complain about oil prices.
Well, most Germans aren't happy about the prize either, we just don't make such a fuss about it.
