Well you're right on one part it was the banks, the central bank that is.

well, you're a free market enthusiast and an islamaphobe. You're just in it for the win, aren't you?
No one has replied to either of those threads.
I'm not required to spend my time replying to you, you know that right? I don't continue arguments if there is no interest in them.
Stop treating these informal discussions on the forum like a grand duel which I have been so unhonorable to ran away from.
That's because statistically, blacks are more likely to end up in jail than whites are. They have the freedoms--correction, they *had* the freedoms.
What, you think inner-city black kids turn to crime because somehow crime exists in their genes or something?
You're one of those privileged white people I talked about, and a racist one at that.
Also, since when did spreading the wealth worked? Look at the EU and how its state of affairs its economy is in. Look at Greece and its banks. I can only imagine what will happen if America closed down its huge military base over there and all us capitalist pigs stopped injecting money into the German system!
Norway, Sweden, Denmark
And what the fuck is wrong with Germany?
Yeah everyone knows there's no idiots in Canada :downs:
Well we do have gay marriage here. And there are no restrictions on abortions(like there are in some states).
I live in Kentucky, and am very saddened by this news. I would say that you should vote, if it is only for the sole reason that it will make another vote not count.

As a whole sure, but there are specific parts of the USA that are better than a lot of the places in Canada and the like

You know, the ones with Nordic Model economies that emphasize social welfare programs with low barriers to trade.

Uhh, no. I'm not even white and I grew up in the ghetto. You know, police cars racing around a lot, can't sleep sometimes at night 'cause of shootings. But hey, if you can assume about me, I can assume about you. I assume you're a fifteen year old kid who thinks they know way more than they should. Honestly, I think I was closer to the mark than your condescendingly egotistical statement.
Way to assume things you don't know. :D

I'll admit I don't know much about those three countries you said.
And, uhhh, have you LIVED in Germany? I can say that my father has lived in Italy AND Germany and when I'm on break, I live with him. Do YOU know the politics of those countries? Have YOU lived in those countries and had to break your wallet with the insanely high taxes? I'll admit that Germany is WAY better off than Italy... but that's like saying Harry Reid is better than Nancy Pelosi.
Or, in your terms, Ron Paul is better than Rand Paul.
Rand Paul is such a dick. He wants to allow big corporations to do whatever the fuck they want, yet he's against homosexual marriage and abortion, and he doesn't think it's necessary to do anything about the climate change, and that the free market will solve all of our problems.

I live in Denmark, the country with the highest tax in the world. Everyone here is pretty happy. Sure, we don't have a lot of multi billionaires, but that's not really a big loss. Instead we have completely free education for everyone, great health care for everyone and relatively few problems with poor people fucking shit up. In Denmark, your life isn't completely determined by how rich your parents are.

How about corporations? With such heavy taxes, wouldn't many of them be forced to shut down? With profits from their sales being taxed (I'm basing off Obama's ideas of Capital Gain tax and Windfall Profits tax), how do they manage to stay afloat?
Also, if there aren't people making huge amounts of copious money (as you said, there were no Multi-Billionaires), then does the middle class gets taxed to fund the system?
EDIT: Fixed spelling errors.
Everyone gets taxed. The more you earn the higher percentage. We have none of that "middle class" talk here at all. Corporations do fine, the CEOs just don't get insanely rich.
maybe I should move to Denmark
can english speakers survive there?
Sure, pretty much everyone speaks English.

denmark is one of the richest countries in terms of corporate income, look up the statistics, denmark is more capitalist that the united states is when it comes to a lot of things
illusion of a free-market does not mean corporations perform better

Thank you
You people all need to get a grip on reality. Corporations are kicking ass right now. Small businesses are fucked because of the health care law. Not because it's too liberal, but because democrats tried so hard to make it NOT look like an entitlement program, that it actually ends up fucking over the people that need to pay for it, the employers.
I'm so mad that Congress spends a lot of money on health and human services!!
[editline]4th November 2010[/editline]
It's funny, no one ever mentions that the USA spends more money on Human Services than ANY other country, and that it is even more expensive than our DoD budget, and not to mention how Social Security is also more expensive than DoD, ignore how the USA spends trillions on their people and only focus on the bad.
