Global warming happens naturally due to the Earth's orbit not being a perfect circle and shit like that. However, the industrial revolution pumped a ton of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and sped it up, so, global warming isnt man-made but we're giving it a push along.

I've seen this on a few documentary's and studies. Even if it really is true, how can it be reversed?

CO2 effects the oceans greatly. I don't think people realize that. The ocean is earths lungs, if it dies, we'll die. Increased CO2 diffuses into the ocean and causing ocean acidification, which kills and stresses millions of essential organisms. (this has pretty much been proven to be caused by anthropogenic CO2). As silly as it sounds, there has been an increase in whale sunburns which suggests more UV radiation is seeping through a thinning Ozone. Corals are also bleaching at an alarming rate due to hot ocean temperatures, and acidification stresses. So regardless of whether or not you believe in global warming, you can't deny the [i]facts[/i] that increasing Carbon dioxide is killing the oceans we know and depend on so much today. Acidification is destroying the first tropic level, which in turn destroys the food chain for [i]everything[/i] living in the ocean.

global warming threatens the ozone layer because its the most vulnerable part to any environmental atmosphere. i'm sure you know the importance of it, but once that melts down the greenhouse gases will start to trap the intense heat of the sun. considering our highest recorded temperature was 124 which killed 4,000 people, it would be disastrous.

Which is more important to us than any rain forest. It will kill everything the fish feed off of and they will die soon after. If they die then the pelagic fish won't have anything to eat and they'll die. Acidification will kill all the plankton and everything that feeds off of them will die too, which in turn will kill whatever is left. It will be a man made mass extinction of the oceans. Every fishery will collapse and millions will lose their jobs and lively hood. Developing countries that survive off eco-tourism will collapse. It would be bad no matter how you look at it. Wouldn't we all just suffocate by that point?
