His paintings are pretty nice
Guess I'm an idiot
they were mediocre at best
he obviously had no concept of perspective or 3d space

This explains why he decided to force his perspective on Europe.

I thought Hitler's biggest issue with painting was his inability to make people corretly
That's kinda odd when you consider the fact he had plans to eradicate every Jew/Gypsy/Homosexual a few years later :v:
maybe the holocaust was just an avant garde performance piece that got out of hand

He was told by the academy that rejected him that he could be a good architect.
Imagine going to an alternative universe and get your house designed by Hitler
Because he managed to convince a reasonably educated country to invade nearly every country around them and massacre millions of people. Civilised people don't generally do that.
A lot of this was through consolidation of power, not his speaking ability. He befriended people, bided his time, made truces and attacked people at the right times.
One could argue Hitler was merely a shrewd opportunist, not that he was a particularly charismatic person
Yeah sure Hitler was a good public speaker for that time and place, but it is quite narrow minded to judge his speaking ability from the videos of his rallies and the crowd reaction. It is not like people were going to those rallies with questions in mind, waiting to be convinced by this magnificent speaker. They were already supporters of the party (and/or forced to be there through peer pressure or else) and were simply going to a massive gathering to be pumped up. To be honest he wasn't convincing anyone at that point, the convincing came long ago through propaganda fed through radio, print etc... Those rallies were just a show of power. He could've talked about his shopping list and people would have still cheered on just the same.
Hitler was seen as a good politician by many Germans, ironically, for many of the same reasons as Farage is admired by some today- he was passionate willing to keep going with his ideas (although Hitler was actually a flip-flopper if it would get him votes, at least with more minor policies), he summed up his country's perceived problems and presented a 'solution' (even though that solution was totally incorrect and, y'know, xenophobic if not outright genocidal from the start), and he was seen as a common man rather than an old fogey who knows nothing about the people. I'll leave you to decide whether or not Farage actually deserves that last one, being a rich businessman, but there are parallels, even if I'm pretty sure UKIP probably don't want to invade Europe.
Saw this on r/ukpolitics, BBC is being a bit one sided in how they are presenting UKIP here:
So you're arguing that
"UKIP defends MEP's 'Hitler speech' advice"
is more clickbait than
"'Hitler achieved a great deal': Ukip MEP sparks anger as he tells its youth wing to copy Nazi leader"
and that the BBC is biased because it didn't include a line the Mail's did - in the 3rd paragraph, a full page down, buried between other article links and a photo
Despite the Mail on Sunday running this story on the front page when the BBC website didn't even give the article first page viewing
wow grasping at straws
maybe the holocaust was just an avant garde performance piece that got out of hand
he was totally being 'ironic' but his henchmen took it at face value
Rule #1 of good public speaking: Don't tell people they should be more like Hitler
When people are saying that Hitler is a good public speaker, can you list some points where you state why you think that way. All I see is "Hitler was a good speaker". Okay, how?
Because I see not a single speaker speaking like Hitler nowadays, if he techniques were so good, surely they'd have been used more often?
The things I notice is that he seems to speak with passion, is very fierce and moves a lot? I dunno...
Edit: I mean it certainly seems he speaks with a lot of emotion, and at wartime perhaps that makes a lot of difference. But if someone did it now, it'd probably seem like they're trying too much.
hitler said nothing wrong
Regardless of context "be like hitler" is not a message you wanna give people.
hitler was an extremely twisted and terrible person who was able to trick/brainwash a large amount of people into helping him attempt his horrendous goals. i guess i can see why the UKIP want to be like him!
Hitler also liked art. Kill everyone that likes art, they're obviously going to commit genocide.
