This leaves 5 cast members of the original series who are still alive, Takei being the youngest at 77. Better start preparing, people.

Great year so far

As sad as it is, Nimoy's been knocking on death's door for quite awhile now.
He was my favorite character on star trek and at least top 3 actors.

KHAN! KHAAAAAAAN!!!
William Shatner and the rest of the TOS crew must be devastated. I wonder if he had a role in the next Star Trek film at all?
can't wait for "i am spook" [sp]sorry[/sp]
not even funny
this shit sucks hard
I literally debated on wearing my Star Trek Science pin since I read that other news thread about Nimoy being hospitalized. Man am I sad today.
A real shame, he was a great actor and a great person. Mr. Nimoy will be missed.
I was lucky enough to see the man, although it was through video-link, but the fact he took the time to talk to the fans gathered was very touching. With Nimoy passed away that leaves 4 of the original bridge crew still with us.
That really sucks. Been watching him for so long it's almost unreal. I'm still having a hard time believing it.

Nooooooooooooooo! Dammit, I didn't like him Star Trek but I fucking loved him in Fringe, it was probably my favorite role he played it.
Fuck! no! :( time to rewatch some Star Trek, Rip Old Friend........
The articles about him being in the hospital made it sound like it was no big deal. FUUUUUUUUCK this is terrible :(
Well shit, that sucks. :C Also, it's gonna' be weird hearing Master Xehanort with a different voice now.

Shit, I loved him as Spock on Star Trek. I also loved his other roles too. Rest in Peace...
LITERALLY CRYING RIGHT NOW. my teacher asked if everything is alright and I screamed NO.
I never really expected him to die. Like, I knew he would eventually, but he's one of those people who is so iconic that it just feels impossible that there was a time when he didn't exist, or that will be a time when he won't. To the end of an era.
Me dad just called me up crying about this. Me dad practically never cries. Jesus Christ.
Holy sh- This hurts... a lot. Spock is my hero. RIP Nimoy.
This is one of those deaths I'll be in denial of for a few days, that's for sure. Holy shit. RIP, you wonderful man.
