Treyarch will “kill people with facts” over Black Ops 2 balance complaints

There's a killstreak in which you unleash a swarm of mini-UAVs which lock onto players and dive at them before exploding, killing them in seconds the moment they so much as twitch outside.
Why not just hand the other team the victory then and there.
wow ur cool and edgy
yeah clearly i'm trying to be ~edgy as fuck~ by reiterating that everyone everywhere agrees that Call of Duty is just a cashcow for activision. there hasn't been anything new brought to the table in like 3 years and it's no longer fun. if you're gonna make a call-out post at least make sure you can do it right shitbird
I can't remember any OP weapons in COD4...
M16 with stopping power. 3 round burst, kills in at most 4 shots.

You need to get 18 kills in tdm, or more in other game modes because kills are worth less points. Those are hard as fuck to get.
The guy that does "This gun Fucking Rocks/Sucks" said something that will stick with me for a while:
"The AUG is just as good as the FAMAS, people just bitch about it less"
No wonder they felt exactly the same the entire time I was using them

15 kills if you use hardline, and MUCH less kills if its an objective game. You could easy get a swarm in just a few position captures of domination. Then just do nothing as the other team is spawned into death after death the split second they pop into existence, unable to capture anything for a LONG time.
Due to a limited number of major calibers, guns are ultimately fairly balanced in reality. In many cases the similarities between two guns chambered in the same caliber are going to be very small. Guns tend to be produced with certain scenarios in mind, and in those scenarios they perform quite well.
For instance, a UMP and a P90 are polar opposites. The UMP hits like a truck on anyone not wearing body armor in reality, but the instant they are clad in virtually any form of protection, the effectiveness is going to drop significantly. The P90 meanwhile is fairly pathetic in terms of stopping power, but cuts through body armor like a hot knife through butter. Each is going to be utterly terrible in the wrong scenario, but they are each excellent in the right situation.
The issue is ultimately that you have to model everything pretty damn well in order to effectively bring out the strengths of each weapon. Like anything chambered in 5.56 NATO would have half again as many rounds extra as anything chambered in 7.62x39, due to the differences in the dimensions and weight of the individual cartridges. Meanwhile the 7.62 rounds would cut through armor and cover far more effectively.
Don't forget that a lot of weapons designed for smaller nations, generally on the NATO former USSR spine tend to be designed with easily accessible converter kits between nato and USSR munitions in both 7.62 and 5.56 since one can expect that these nations will often be dealing with all kinds of stuff.
Which is one of the reasons that a few other weapons win tenders as opposed to those used in some bigger ones.
I'm hearing tons of people are just sticking to SMG's which are apparently oerpowered. Not a surprise bu it's fairly common in CoD games for the SMG's to be ridiculous at least from the games I've played (COD4 and MW2; UMP in MW2 was a joke). This would be the third Call of Duty game I've ever bought, and on my PS3 so I hope the balance isn't that bad.
It's usually not as much to do with the SMG's themselves as it has to do with most maps. The maps in COD as a rule of thumb tend to almost always be very close ranged and that's a role that SMG's excell at. Cod really really should take a book out of Quake3 and UT level design, since the weapon roles are very similar. The the lethality is different of course but the point is that COD maps as a rule lack mid length combat areas. It's all either very short range or very long ranged.
Means you can't even do a bit more of a teamplay for suppression and similar tactics.
I miss the CoD4 killstreaks.
UAV's kept the map moving and had a counter, bombing run took out entrenched campers and only affected a relatively small part of the map, and he helicopter was powerful but easily destroyable. The newer games have added some interesting ones like the Guardian, RC-XD, and Sentry guns that are easily counterable if you try but I really could do with less "cause the map to explode" or "summon a robot to kill everything" streaks.

Skorpion (the last SMG) is without a doubt the best SMG, because of the massive rate-of-fire it has, which means you don't have to use the attachment to do it.
Slap a laser sight on it to reduce hip-fire spray, and fast mag for insane reload speeds, and you literally have the best weapon in the game.

SKORPION?
For some reason it seems as if skorpions have been throughout video game history to be the
bottom of the barrel of shooter-game SMGs.
Take Goldeneye for example. The Skorpion equivalent, the "Klobb", was absolutely horribru.
And the first Black Ops too, mind you.

also make sure you've got two of them, they have gold camo, and your clan tag is on them
and your clan tag is set to YOLO
I managed to prestige the pdw-57 in less than a day so I'd say that's pretty overpowered. the remington 870 is pretty overpowered as well.
I'm working on getting the select fire attachment for the fal osw which I'm hoping will be pretty fantastic, I'm picturing something like the type 95 from mw3, except full auto instead of burst

Ah, I see.
On a side note, since I can't leave any visitor messages on your page...
Wtf is that game your title is linking to.
Does their stats report on the fucking mine spam.
seriously that shit is stupid, its basically a grenade except you can't really dodge it without a ~special perk~
The weapons and such are fine, it's the netcode that sucks dicks, hitboxes lag like 300ms behind you.
On the screen where you hit public match, press S, or click bottom right corner, search preferences.
Set it to best.
It will take about 30 seconds to a minute to get into a game, but after doing this I haven't had any problems with lag.
