This really isn't the way to fight piracy. More potential buyers will pirate and crack the game if they can't play it stable...ly(?) because of their intermittent internet (ie me.) Dick move by EA.
EA have their head up their ass. CliffyB isn't going to be happy with PC sales I forsee.
Opinion I guess. I thought it was really bad and not worth it's full price.
Okay then. It seems EA is going down the shitter again...

Wasn't interested in the game, now I'm even less intrigued
Steam is a joke drm. You need minimal cracking skills to make your own steam crack. I suppose companies do not really trust it because of that.
It's because valve pretty much doesn't care about pirates, and they know it's the costumers they should serve.
Good thing I'm getting it on console.
After one week the pirates get an advantage over people who paid legitimately
It's because valve pretty much doesn't care about pirates, and they know it's the costumers they should serve.
no its because valve knows pirates dont get tf2 hats and that guarantees them sales..
dont get tf2 hats
Oh not this shit again.
It's because valve pretty much doesn't care about pirates, and they know it's the costumers they should serve.
but when valve acts like a business everyone bitches. When EA acts like a business everyone bitches too. If EA turned round and started acting "Better" in the internets eyes nothing would change. They would still get the same number of pirates, the same amount of profit etc. They are trying to be a business by adding some DRM in.
Here's the fun part: nobody is forcing you to buy or play the game, so why would you care about what they do to it? It's like saying a company makes and sells couches but they need you to have an internet connection or else the couch won't let you sit on it. Would you buy the couch? No. So what's the problem here?
Well shit. As much as I enjoyed it, I'm out. Ubisoft partially correct their mistake by only requiring internet during startup and then EA goes and does this. They finally started to fix their reputation over the past few years and now they are going to ruin it again.
You aren't supporting the DRM by buying it you are supporting the Developer. The way to oppose the DRM is to buy it, try it out for yourself and if at ANY point it's obstructive tell them. Complaining like a little bitch about every DRM method which MAY be required for them to help make profits is just childish. "Oh no something in a game which doesn't affect the game in anyway at all but I don't like I am not buying" Grow up
Internet is far from perfect everywhere and even here in Sweden where it practically is. Sometimes things cut out. Getting the boot from the game because of this is alright if I am playing multiplayer, since obviously, you can not play without it. But if I am playing a singleplayer session and it kicks me due to the fact that I am not online is fucking bullshit. So before you start telling us that we are childish and should grow up. Maybe you should also see things from a perspective, different from your otherwise, seemingly, narrow mind.
I don't care about the DRM so much, I'm just pissed that it's on GFWL..
instead of playing jump to conclusions you could try reading!
Well sorry for missing an image that you posted. It still applies to the digital version so what difference does it make if I happen to buy the digital version?

Tell 4chan to DDoS their servers and after a week it'll be disabled.
Perhaps you should look at it from EA's perspective.
Screwing over legit users isn't the way to go.
The DRM I can handle. The DRM and GFWL I cannot. 360 it is.
Well fuck this game then.
The DRM I can handle. The DRM and GFWL I cannot. 360 it is.
the ironic thing about this post is that GFWL is literally just xbox live on pc.. so you have changed nothing..
I'll give it 3 weeks before its cracked
More like a day and a half.
the ironic thing about this post is that GFWL is literally just xbox live on pc.. so you have changed nothing..
Then again, it actually works properly on the 360.
Then again, it actually works properly on the 360.
I've never had an issue with GFWL before.
Didn't someone on the first page post something about the packaged version (not digital drive) not requiring constant online connection to play?
