that's for the digital version
and it was just something about how the weapons moved, it felt like killzone all over again
I bet 20$ that this DRM won't last a week.

because it's not there right?
EA's word > one dev's word
could be a mistake (would be a mistake) but we don't know yet
cccritical rated me dumb because I pretty much described him.
people see "game" and "drm" and assume the game has drm
why should it be the other way around
More money for me to spend on other games, then.
Because it says to "not" have DRM. You immediately jump ship and talk about how it's going to be cracked instantly and PCF will be done for because of the pirates.
pretty much all games are cracked instantly and I said PCF would deserve capsizing if they went for it, and again the thread's title and the thread's op (+ the destructoid article AND THE OFFICIAL EA EULAS PAGE) are conflicting
More money for me to spend on other games, then.
Please read the title of the thread.
No drm.

DRM.

DRM.
The destructoid blogger was proven false. The EA Eula might just be out of date. The devs are saying no DRM. I'm gonna go with them, and the fact that Dead Space 2 just came out, another EA game, without DRM.
That isn't the point at all; if you don't like it, don't buy it. Pirating it makes the situation even worse.

This is a common myth that is very wrong, many believe that the only reason DRM like this is created is because not enough people are buying the game.
Even if a game does sell really well, publishers will go paranoid that they're missing out on a shitton of potential sales because some people pirate their game.

DRM and piracy have been around for years, and as more people have begun to download games, we've seen more elaborate DRM systems. It's a linear correlation: the more you pirate, the worse DRM gets.
Funnily enough the companies that have experimented with incredibly minimal DRM but engaging features you can only get by buying the game see drastically lower piracy rates. Can't remember what group did that but I think they made RTSes, I'll look for it.
Welp, There go the PC sales.

Stardock?
If a game has DRM, I simply don't play it. It's the easiest form of protest I've ever taken part in.
This one time I got red alert 3 for Christmas while we were on a cruise to Hawaii. It was a 5 day journey back to the states, and we had a laptop on us, so I decided to pop it in and give it a try.
Internet connection required to play
I was in the middle of the fucking pacific ocean. And I wasn't about to pay for the 5$ a minute shit they charge you on the ship. Never again will I buy a game with such DRM protection.
International waters be a dangerous place. :yarr:
I thought EA were coming around after a few years of being cunts.
I thought wrong.

holy shit, read the thread.
i don't care if it has DRM. i only want to get my hands on it
Gotta say i played the Demo and generally wasn't impressed with this game anyway, so i won't be buying it reguardless of this.

No holo-sights or heartbeat sensors? THIS GAME IS SHIT!
I wanted to buy this instead of Crysis 2.
Oh well, you won't get my money.
I will buy it still, but I will crack it so I can play it on my laptop while on the move, fuck you EA.
And i just said in a COD thread: "EA has being doing much better last year." i might edit that post.

god damn read the thread, everyone thinking of posting, read.
Sounds promising enough to put me off giving any of my £ to these people.
Ok, now I'll have to replace Bulletstorm with another game coming in February/March. Any ideas?
I was already thinking of getting Homefront and HoMM VI...
Clearly nobody even read the thread title, let alone the fact that the DRM won't be there.
If anything I think this thread would be better off locked.
I'll just put it here again:
Fucking Internets... No, Bulletstorm PC does not require any constant connection, only for install and for online play (duh!).
Seriously guys, read a little sometimes.

Great, if I could I would rate myself bad reading, but I can't :saddowns:
