Polytron Unveils World's First Fully Transparent Smartphone

Using this and bendable smartphones, making it much much smaller and not as complex, you could probably make a contact lens out of it and have it displace information, or a live video feed of something.
I'm guessing this is just a demonstration of technology. Would anyone really want to use a transparent phone as their main one? The picture quality would be difficult, at the very least.
imagine this being used for augmented reality

This just shows flashy technology, it has no practical use at all
This is like straight out of a sci fi film! Can't imagine how far we will be with this technology in say, 10 years.
I look forward to my fully transparent GameBoy Color soon.
well couldn't they solve the problem with other people seeing what you're doing by fitting an e-ink screen of equal size that when the screen turns on activates it to have a solid black screen?
Still can't figure out what the story is with the battery.
Really cool, though.
Although this concept hasbeen dreamed about four a very long time, but to be honest this isn't practical at all other than being bloated with cool factors and gives you no privacy at all.
How am I supposed to watch porn on the subway with it?

You could start a wall fabrication company and call yourself wallmart.

maybe if you had the electrochromatic glass behind it then it would be easy to read and transparent at any request

Its transparent
How the fuck can you ever make it practical?
What is the point in making it transparent other than just showing off?

"These newfangled computers are too big to be practical, noone has a whole room to put one"
Put a band around it and...
If I could see everything on the screen easily, I would love a transparent phone.

He's an airplane?
Wow the phone in the OP is really similar to the one in Shanghai Calling.
How do we know it's not actually just a block of glass with a transparent display on it?
Did they make the CPU invisible too?
Until I see it do some serious computation (or a call) I'm skeptical.
"Invisible" isn't a trait I look for in a phone.
