I am worried to as why they don't just kick him out on the street, do they agree with him and dont see his opinions as something problematic and harmful to the reputation of the sweden democrats? that's what greatly concerns me.
The fact of the matter is that there are people to whom he will appeal (just like Mogens Camre or Jesper Langballe here in Denmark). That might be why they're keeping him. Personally I don't think you should vote where high-ranking members are saying such stuff. They might not all say it, but unless they're throwing them out or condemning them, the sentiment is there.
So, just because of these beggars, you are willing to accept the possibility of death penalty, limiting of abortion, forced Christianity in schools, limited gay rights, stopping the usage of solar cells and wind energy etc... ? [editline]20th August 2015[/editline] The only thing SD is good at is to bring these issues to the table for the real parties to handle.
What? [editline]21st August 2015[/editline] Saw your other posts
The funny part of this is how I feel after reading this, I feel so split and uncertain of what I should be feeling.
Fuck SD
I find it somewhat bizarre that people are willing to vote for a party based solely on a single policy and ignoring everything else, but then I don't live in Sweden so I don't understand whatever might be going on there.
As an American this is a lot like watching a baby take it's first steps. Except the baby is a country, and the steps are actually hilariously bad voting choices. Really I can't wait for Sweden to devolve into a two-party shitflinging contest, it's going to be awesome. I hope when you guys remodel Skåne into a more proper version of Florida you don't forget the trailer parks and meth houses, they're both really crucial if you want the complete experience. You guys are already undergoing the transformation.

The Swedish voting system doesn't encourage a two party system, hence why parties like SD can actually become popular.
Should have clarified that it's just what their politicians have said.
I'm ashamed to say that this just sounds like the Republican party

And also Effective Parties, there are cat least 4 different groups waving the Republican banner.

I could think of three; moderates, libertarians and conservatives. Unless you count the tea party as separate from 'more-mainstream' conservatives.
The United States has several political parties, but they tend to go with the main two(or three if you count libertarians), in order to get their ideas pushed. As for conservatives under the republican banner. Lets just say you need to look at the states to figure out that clusterfuck.

Republicans can band together to block Democrat wants; but as soon as it becomes a conservative thing you see Tea Partiers, Classical Conservatives, Libertarians, and Moderates don't agree with anything. [editline]23rd August 2015[/editline] Not too mention the voting base is so fed up they're going for Donald Trump.

It's certainly not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Here you have the choice of the Liberal party, which although it does have a 'small l liberal' (classic liberal) faction it's mostly dominated by a conservative faction, or the Labor party which has two main factions - Labor Right and the Socialist Left, but is steered by Labor Right most of the time (not that that's a bad thing). We also have a million minor parties that rarely get electoral success, and of course there are the watermelons - the Greens (green on the outside, red on the inside lol) who occasionally go well in the Senate.

Be sure to concentrate on the part where Jamsponge says, "vote for a party based solely on a single policy and ignoring everything else." Here's a hint: my post wasn't serious in any way at all. (I thought this was blatantly obvious, but lol nope) [editline]23rd August 2015[/editline] Double hint: I'm talking shit about my own country.
I think you're being overly dramatic.
In what way?
15% is only 2% higher than the US. Is there a specific group of immigrants you would want quotas placed on? Would you prefer immigrants to have a higher skillset such as college education? For example, would you prioritize a Korean immigrant with a masters in Mathematics over a Pakistani immigrant with no education at all?
I would rather people with a good education or people in actual, immediate life threatening danger got a chance to stay, because these are most likely to integrate themselves properly to our laws and customs because of actual will to stay. Where you come from in the world does not matter to me. But as for percentage, it's about proportion. The US is a population of 350+ million people, Sweden is 9 million, nearing 10. Proportional to our population size we're taking in too many immigrants. So generally speaking I just want it to be lowered overall. We have an insane housing crisis as it is where you have to wait several years (4-8 years) in multiple queues to even get a chance of a 1 or 2 room apartment on the outskirts of Stockholm. We don't need more people in this country than we already do.
15% is only 2% higher than the US.
Two vastly different nations
