Yeah shocker the overwhelming majority of people aren't fans of bullshit.
She's an idiot, but this accusation that an event meant for non-white-male participants is inherently sexist/racist is stupid and reactionary. If an event for male victims of sexual abuse respectfully requested that women do not attend so as to provide a safe space for the victims to talk freely, only the most ridiculous of SJW types would care.
they actually had that, or something similiar. my university, the university of toronto, had a talk in 2012 given by feminist dr. warren farrell about mens issues. it was pretty tame, talking about possible causes of male suicide and breaking out of traditional gender roles and such, basically just traditional feminism but with some male centric issues sprinkled in.
however that didn't stop "feminists" protesting the event calling him an MRA and a rapist and shouting "no hate speech on campus." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iARHCxAMAO0
these people are so incredibly uninformed, if you think that you'd ever be allowed to host a male only seminar or discussion at a university... ever... then you'd be wrong as hell. these groups exist not to enforce diversity or actually advance feminism in any way, but to complain about how evil cishet white men are.
weren't a few of those events taken down for being misogynistic for excluding females
I sure hope not and haven't heard anything of the sort, but if so then that's retarded too. Anyone should be allowed to host a 'safe space' event if they want. Not everything has to be 100% inclusive all the time and we don't need to stoop to the wacky SJW level of throwing accusations of sexism and racism at anything that even hints of exclusion.

Okay, that's just goddamn ridiculous. Let's not emulate those people.

The guy at the end has incredible self-restraint....
warren farrell does have strongly debatable opinions that aren't exactly grounded in reality but yeah all that fuss on a college campus when he's making a presentation about suicide awareness and going against harmful gender roles and such
none of that fuss had a place
I agree with her. As long as it ruses closet-WMRA I'm all for her. She's my champion.

white men are the worst am i right
Find it weird that I could waltz in there, be told to leave because I look like a white cis men, then kindly inform them that I'm a transgender woman and be let in.
Almost like they're making judgements about people based solely on their appearances.

these seem like the kind of people who hate transgender women for being "socialized as men" or whatever the fuck
she could cis my gender anyday tbh

isn't she iranian or something? They are pretty big on freeing Palestine to the point where their passports say something like "you cannot visit occupied palestine with this passport".

What is it with people like you who on the other hand spout stuff like "feminism fights for men, too" but when men try to fight for example for unbiased and fair laws on custody and alimony because that is something I have never seen a feminist fighting for it is automaticly misogyny?

i never said or implied that he's a bigot
i never said or implied that he's a bigot
Would it be okay if he had made his discussion men only?
It's clearly okay for the inverse to happen, so, simple question, could he have done that?

sure
these seem like the kind of people who hate transgender women for being "socialized as men" or whatever the fuck
Some feminists do, other feminists don't, and often enough they're exactly alike except for that one thing.
sure
except no university would allow that
except no university would allow that
Even if the university allow that, a mob of feminists will come to disrupt the event.
unless if it's a blue moon that wouldn't happen lol
unless if it's a blue moon that wouldn't happen lol
Do you really think if a mans only conference happened on a campus, there WOULDN'T be a huge uproar about how unfair that is?
There was an uproar for just talking about mens issues, how you can be so short sighted is beyond me.

A mob of feminists will come to disrupt the event even if women were allowed at such an event.

But then that would ruin her internal narrative that white men are literally the devil.

No, she are the white devil. This explains everything.
Good, she fucking deserves it. She got EXACTLY what was coming to her.
Don't want to lose your job? Try actually practicing what you preach. Or did these SJW-types also change the meaning of diversity while I was not looking?
I don't give a fuck if she was joking, it wasn't funny.

I'm really willing to bet that the idea of this comes from a college professor who knows what he's talking about saying something similar and then students taking it way too out of context.

I don't understand what you're getting at, though. I think most people here would say that if there is an uproar, it's unjustified and reactionary and ~those crazy SJWs~ up to their usual stuff.
Yet most of the response I've seen to Bahar Mustafa so far has been along the lines of 'wow she said men can't come, what a sexist'. So like, it's sexist for a women's event to ask men not to come but if a men's event asked women not to come it would only cause a shitstorm because of crazy irrational hardcore feminists?
How about anyone can have a safe space event and it's shitty and wrong to call it sexist, whichever side of the fence you're on?
When did I ever say anything about white genocide? That shit is as stupid as she is, I'm just poking fun at how some people actually seem to think
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you, specifically. I just meant in general. It's a silly thing to think!

That is my point though. I'm just fucking sick of hypocrisy.
Everyone should get to. Why can't men have a discussion like that? I'm not out to say women can't do that, but if they can, then so can men.
I'm decrying hypocrisy. That's fucking it. Is it really wrong for me to do so, or to point out the obvious truth that these events CAN'T(In the real world) be men only on a university campus due to the current outrage culture we have
