Remember when Atlanta got like 4 inches of snow and the city shut down?

We had our government buildings shut down one year when the temperature got to -19F, because otherwise there wasn't enough gas pressure to heat the homes of some nearby towns that get their natural gas from us. Pipes froze and burst all over town, you couldn't hardly drive a block without seeing a plumbing truck in front of a house.
There are places where it's cold as fuck in winter and hot as fuck in the summer.
I really like it.
Finland can be like that if it wants to.
Last winter was kind of cold, there were like 2 weeks when it was really cold. Normally it's pretty even, gets colder towards the first couple of months of next year then starts warming up.
This summer has been mostly chilly saturated with rain. Couple of weeks have been really nice and really warm. But we also got SNOW in midsummer.
Though this week has been super-rainy and very warm, making it very uncomfortable.
huge thunderstorm before heatwave,
we're all gonna be turned to mulch now :-(
Man the humidity is going to be unbearable now that the storm has rolled through.
why must there be a thunderstorm at this time
i'm dead
I love thunder storms so much. last night the wind was blowing like crazy, incredibly heavy rain, thunder, all that good stuff. decided to open the door to the porch, brought my blanket and a pillow, then laid straight down on the floor next to the open door leading to the porch. I haven't slept as good as that in ages
At the very least, even the poorest of households have window AC units here.
Is it uncommon to have air conditioning in your house in the UK? From what I've gathered from this thread, that seems to be the case.
I can't think of anywhere that's air conditioned in my town other than walk-in freezers, even the health center here is keeping the main doors open for air circulation and handing out hand fans. And I guess expensive cars usually have it.
Meanwhile it's cool and calm as fuck in the West Midlands. How's it like up in Yorkshire?
I'm just south of Hull, 19 degrees, chance of rain. Meh, its fine here.
North Dakota. -60F to 120F.
Winter jacket is thin enough to wear comfortably in summer.
But now I live in Oklahoma, so it's funny watching the locals here adjust to "cold" weather.
Which part of NoDak did you live in? This week in Mandan it was tapping something like 102F.
Hot as fuck where i am and theres an incredible thunderstorm goingon, litterally never seen it like this before.
Counted 27 lightning hits off in the distance and all the cars have stopped working.
Bring some of that storm to the midlands please.
32C is a cool day here.
