youre kinda wrong but thats okay, aint nobody got born with intellect from the start
Quite possibly the most ironic statement of all time. [editline]30th October 2012[/editline]
I wonder what the Russians are invading this time.
THE WOOORLLDDDDDD [editline]30th October 2012[/editline]
oh no a videogame people like and buy is getting another release woe is me well at least it's going to have a singleplayer mode.
Why though? WHY? Who actually buys these games for the campaign?
I wonder what the Russians are invading this time.
As usual, it's gonna start out with major cities then the story gets "deep" and they start digging up military intelligence and what not from obscure American secret bases.
I wonder what the Russians are invading this time.
Who knows, maybe it'll be everyone's favorite - Chine- I mean NORTH KOREANS [sp]with minimal editing that blatantly makes them Chinese with a nameswap anyway[/sp] Or maybe even Russians versus North Koreans, even despite the complete implausibility of it. Because MW2 already defied logic. All joking aside, I don't give a fuck anymore. Ignored Modern Warfare 3 and that turned out to be a good choice, and BO2 might be worth a check if non-biased folks say it's good, but i'm probably going to ignore this milked cow. It's just getting.. Old, no matter how much fancy perk tweaks or 'score' streaks are mixed up.
Who actually buys these games for the campaign?
Lots of people? Cod4 and MW2 had awesome singleplayer campaigns, the story might be a bit stupid at times but they're still fun to play through.
I play modern warfare single player because its kind of fun and has some okay-war story to it. I kind of like it, but I don't like the regurgitated MP.
Russia would completely decimate North Korea with a single ICBM.
This is the same Modern Warfare alternate universe where a squad of two or three British or American guys can single-handedly fight entire armies with barely a scratch on them until the plot decides they must painfully die near-instantly from something other than the thousands of bullets in their face. I mean, story writers can write inconveniences like 'what would happen in real-life' right out, and they've done it before in this series. Repeatedly.
i still don't get why people sperg over the fact that people think call of duty is fun ye it's mainstream and milked but who cares it's good if you want to grind away at mindless fun for a few hours they're those weird, troma-published horror films in the bargain bin at bullmoose - good, cheap fun
I'm actually pleased that they're stagnating; eventually people will get fuck-bored of this shit and the franchise will collapse, leaving room for the next big thing in first-person shooting to step up to the plate, hopefully something with more gameplay value and less fishhooking of the nose, more interesting mechanics and less bullshitty scripting (LOOKING AT YOU, PIDDLE OF GONORRHOEA: WHOREBITER). I remember saying back when Black Ops 2 was announced that they shouldn't be innovating like this, that it defied the rules, and I'm grateful that the franchise is stagnating, because pretty soon it's going to rot into a putrid mess so foul and rancid that even the most poorly-bred little shits in the gaming community won't touch it. Still, Price's VA should consider being in an action movie rather than another Modem Borefare piece of tripe; it wouldn't be that big of a leap to make, tbh.
Facepunch, where people hate CoD more than Hitler. But really I enjoyed MW3, it was skim on new content but not a bad game by any means.
Facepunch, where people hate CoD more than Hitler.
But Hitelr did nothing worng adn Call Of Dutty comesout wiht a new on eahc yeer!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!
Russians are the antagonists again. Calling it.
Nah man they're mixing up this time. Now we have to stop the Cubans and Germans from teaming and creating a Communist Nazi Army.
You guys realize that MW3 sold an assload of copies and the number of copies being sold are on an upward trend in the CoD series? It doesn't matter that we think it's shit because it's basically ingrained into contemporary culture as "the shooter" and you can't get rid of that no matter how hard you try. They make money, they are a business, they will continue making CoDs until it is no longer "the shooter" for 10-13 year olds.

Yeah all the characters in MW3 died besides Price. Really boggles my mind as to what they'd pull out of their arse next. As much as I enjoy the simple action-style CoD campaigns, this is just pushing it too far. MW3's ending was a good way to end the franchise.
Wonder how much longer until Tony Hawk's Guitar Hero Curse finally hits COD. First they try to milk the shit out of MW3, as it was allegedly the "worst" selling one. Then they have a pre order for a DLC season pass a month before the game its for is even released. Now the existence of yet another sequel is conveniently "leaked" by a VA. Worst of all, my sheep of a brother will probably end up getting both of them eventually. He's gonna be 25.
Worst of all, my sheep of a brother will probably end up getting both of them eventually. He's gonna be 25.
If he has a job and the income to support such a hobby, then hat's off to him. Nothing wrong with buying games you enjoy.
Personally I've noticed a drop in how much fun I have playing the multiplayer for each Infinity Ward title. CoD4 was a blast, MW2 was fun but less so and got old quick, then MW3 bored me in just a couple dozen hours. I'll probably pass on this unless they do something really new with the multiplayer, which I doubt they will be cause the previous games have sold so well. Which is okay, I prefer Treyarchs games anyway.

Ended with just about everyone being killed, antagonist included, and the player being left an ambiguous note on whether Price died or not, but you prevented the nuke from hitting America and stopped Zakhaev. Then MW2 happened because Activision wanted a sequel; Makarov used Zakhaev's death to come into power and just plain make everything worse, not to mention the 'evil' russians you were trying to at least hinder in MW1 turn out to of taken over Russia anyway, rendering a lot of what you did moot.

Alternative title: "Modern Warfare 4: We Fucking Hate Russians"
you idiots will go buy it anyways
No, I won't. I have literally not bought a cod game since modern warfare and I don't plan to buy any in the near future.
Rehash, milking, casual, whatever, I'm still going to buy it and enjoy it. Suck it cynics, don't tell me how to spend my own money.
Alternative title: "Modern Warfare 4: We Fucking Hate Russians"
America invades communist separatist country of texas. Make it happen.
MW4 will have North Korea as a main antagonist, with the final mission being saving the world from the nukes kim il sung sent to glorious USA calling it

Would I play it again? Probably not, its too simple and repetitive. I've outgrown it.
they'll release bo2 then immediately a week after release this, then no one will play bo2 that's "cool"
CoD4, MW2, MW3, and Black Ops are all in the top 20 most played in Xbox Live, and Modern Warfare 3 is the newest.
soap has a son!!1
omg cant wait to play as shampoo!!
Makarov was the first horseman from Call of Duty 4.
Makarov wasn't even referenced in Call of Duty 4. Sure, Zakhaev and his son likely weren't leading things alone, but the character of Makarov didn't exist at the time - at least to the player's knowledge. MW3 even put Makarov and also-new Yuri into the Chernobyl sniping scenario, and while a cool idea and all, I was meaning more that MW1 sort of had a finality to it, with you vaguely hearing a news report that the Ultranationalists were thought to of fell apart from leadership struggles. Then they kick all of that in the groin, Price is put in a gulag, and the Ultranationalists did have a falling out of leaders but took over Russia anyway. Granted, that sort of thing happens a lot in movies and games, but it kinda felt like a cop-out excuse for keeping the russians as legitimate antagonists (although Colonel Shepard is a certainly something that I can give MW2 credit for, at least).
