Probably gonna cash in on what Black Ops 2 is doing.
I have an even better idea...why not make the protagonists someone else for once. It's not like America is the only country that gets into wars right?
Just think of poor Chernarus in ARMA 2. Insurgents, Eastern Bloc, and yet more or less original save for a handful of Americans who might as well have been something else as far as the gameplay was concerned. A Russia-China war, some internal European conflict, what have you...I would pay good money to see even Russia fight Russia without an underlying Western involvement.
All things considered, the Americans aren't the protagonists in the MW series. I mean, in each of the WW2 games, you had the various viewpoints between American, British and Russian. But the real 'protagonists' of the Modern Warfare series are all British, constantly putting their asses on the line with some aid from Americans here or there to save both their asses, along with anyone else's.
Black Ops (and probably Black Ops 2) do seem to mainly perpetuate an American standing, though - especially with how the "AMERICA FUCK YEAH" ending in BO1 occured. It was almost like a parody if it wasn't played so seriously.

It will never stop. Call of Duty will still go on, and they will never stop making games. IT WILL NEVER STOP.
well didnt IW trademark modernwarfare all the way up to numbers 7 and 8?
Im DAMN sure there WILL be a MW4...
COD:MW4: We Still Hate the Fucking Russians
MW4 will always be mechwarrior 4 to me.
COD:MW4: We Still Hate the Fucking Russians
This is the fourth time we have made this joke and we are becoming increasingly efficient at it.
If they're gonna do a new MW, they should of just made a new story. The end of MW3 tied things up neatly.
I am so tired of modern shooters its not even funny.
iw needs to stop, treyarch is already releasing a call of duty game that i have interest in

IW come on, you release a new mw every year, and I don't think you guys will be like treyarch and upgrade the engine,
MW3 still only allows 4x anti-analization and that's on IW5
Black Ops allows 16x and that runs on IW3 with far more features to change
And that was an engine designed 5 years ago
lift your game
i can see the modern warfare 4 multiplayer blackout happening
yeah that's far too little anti-analization for me
Tsk, tsk. All of you continue to pronounce it "Call of Duty" when everyone REALLY knows it's Child's Online Daycare :v:
i still don't get why people sperg over the fact that people think call of duty is fun
ye it's mainstream and milked but who cares it's good if you want to grind away at mindless fun for a few hours
they're those weird, troma-published horror films in the bargain bin at bullmoose - good, cheap fun
The problem is it isn't cheap. These games are rarely even priced down or put on sale until 2 years after they're released. I wouldn't have so much of an issue with the CoD series if they'd only ask 20 bucks for every installment, since that's what those rehashes are worth.
Facepunch
Announcment: oh wow what a piece of shit, they are making another one
After trailers: looks decent, they changed it this time, gonna pick it up
Every single year
As much as I hate where the COD series is taking the game I'm going to buy it because I am still a fan of the game, no matter how much shit they do to mess it up. I wish COD would have continued to stay small though, instead of attracting the shittest and largest fanbase of all games.
Wonder how much longer until Tony Hawk's Guitar Hero Curse finally hits COD. First they try to milk the shit out of MW3, as it was allegedly the "worst" selling one. Then they have a pre order for a DLC season pass a month before the game its for is even released. Now the existence of yet another sequel is conveniently "leaked" by a VA.
Worst of all, my sheep of a brother will probably end up getting both of them eventually. He's gonna be 25.
He's your brother, and you dislike him for playing Call of Duty, one of the most popular games in the world? That might be taking it a bit to far.
Call of duty: medieval warfare. Now.

I was looking forward to it the moment it was announced, even more so once I heard the new features that they're putting into it.

In my opinion, they are seriously lacking in many aspects.
MW1 was good. Very good. Simple, tamed, dynamic, and had everything one would want.
MW2 was also good. They did some mistakes with DLC, pricing, dedicated servers and bug fixes, but it was very fun. It implemented new things to CoD and discovering them was pretty fun. It was like MW1, but lacking in some aspects, while still being very fun, but having a very small life time. Which is very sad because...
...I see MW3 as worse than MW1, MW2 and BO. Any of those. It didn't bring anything new necessarily, maps were simply horrible, had worser graphics compared to MW2 or even MW1, weapons sounded horrible and even replaced, they felt horrible and were unbalanced.... You could have a bit of fun, but ultimately, it isn't worthwhile.
Even worse when they keep pumping in new games that make the predecessor useless.

That only applies to Treyarch, that actually changes their games.
Look at the difference between WaW, BO1 and BO2.
Call of Duty is old, can game companies please start being fucking original and start producing games we will like instead of sticking their cocks up the same horses ass over and over....
you have literally no information on the game yet
