Pol is having Gamergate threads as well, so it seems a change of heart has already happened to an extent so hopefully it stays that way. Instead the threads are focused on the game journalism aspect solely.

This is why I've been staying out of this whole affair, this is rapidly approaching "reptilian overlords killed JFK" level conspiracy theory. Gaming journalism began when real journalism took a shit and never recovered from it. Legitimate journalism is a fucking joke today compared to 50 years ago, so it's of no surprise that the gaming variety is just as awful. Although that's more to say about the quality of journalism than corruption; corruption has always been a part of the business, perhaps more so now than before. Either way, gaming journalism being shit and corrupt is just par for the course.
