he is an outright fascist
So why does he still have support? No matter how much bad it will look to admit they did badly and let a facist into office, how is not the burden of LEAVING a facist into office not worse to them?

But blue congress are not facists, right? Why take such a risk to their reputation?
Because they'd have shit thrown into their mouths if it meant that liberals and the left had to smell their mouths.
oh.

He is reversing everything that the leftists and globalists have done to weaken America ("real" America, not New York or San Fransisco or Miami) in an effort to bring wealth, strength, and stability back. And anything that opposes him is wrong. Hardline Trump supporters (who are becoming an ever-large segment of his eroding base) simply cannot afford to lose Trump to the "alt left", or the "Deep state", or the "Globalists" because everything they know rides on him being successful, and the measure of success is him simply doing anything, because nothing Trump does is wrong or bad. This seems ridiculous but if you just go somewhere with a lot of Trump support you will find that this is almost baseline belief, and it doesn't include far-right/alt-right groups like Nazis, white nationalists/supremacists, the KKK etc who have even more invested in Trump because few presidents have been as soft as he has on them or pushed their agenda like he has.

These are just simple Republicans. You know, morons.
Picks a great time to pass this through doesn't he.
I guess Arpaio's fair game for vigilantes now. Trump only has himself to blame for that. After all, when the law doesn't hold criminals responsible, citizens will take the law into their own hands. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a good thing. It's terrible when rule of law breaks down in what is supposed to be a republic. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the US gets downgraded even further from a flawed democracy based on this.

He's basically laid out, excuse the really shit pun, a media Trump card. If anything happens to this guy it'll be good for him regardless, if nothing happens then that's the best situation we can get. Quicker everyone forgets about this guy the better.
It's time the power of pardon was taken away from the POTUS. That it exists at all is ridiculous. [editline]26th August 2017[/editline] Here's a prophecy for you. Members of Trump's family will be found guilty of crimes as a result of the Russia Probe. Trump will attempt to pardon them. Trump himself may very well be charged with crimes. He will attempt to pardon himself. Should he attempt either of these things, all hell will break loose.
They're going to write about this presidency for decades to come, aren't they? The books write themselves. That reminds me, I need to read Steve Ambrose's two books on Nixon.

[editline]26th August 2017[/editline] I'm passed I can scream at my senators about this because news broke minutes after their offices closed for the weekend.
Trump pardons and praises one of America's most infamous racists: a man who is guilty of illegally imprisoning and torturing people based on nothing other than the color of their skin, and there are still people here on Facepunch who want to convince that Trump isn't intentionally and overtly courting white supremacist hate groups? Joe Arpaio was no patriot: he was a racist, small town tyrant who used his office to wage war against non-whites. He's in the same class of people as David Duke, and in his actions today, Trump proved beyond all shadow of a doubt that he is too. I'll say it as many times as it needs to be said, and I don't give a shit if it offends your conservative sensibilities: Trump is not the president of "Middle America." Trump is the president of White Supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, and Neo-Nazis. Trump is the president of right wing extremists.

Unfortunately there are a number of conservatives that will support him because he was "targeting illegals" while not caring about the situation around it. "Well if they didn't want to be in a camp they shouldn't have broken the law!"
I see McCain is as concerned as always.
I see McCain is as concerned as always.
That is all he is good for now.
"Not my President" was the refuge of the whiny sore loser until this year. Now it's a rallying cry for defenders of a lawful American society.
If he clearly and intentionally has no desire to represent anyone other than the vile racists, extremists, and maliciously stupid, I have no desire to give him an ounce of respect. I can normally compartmentalize my respect for the office vs. my respect (or lack thereof) for the individual who holds that office, but Trump makes this impossible. Fuck him.

Now we just have to wait for someone in Congress to try and do whatever they can about this only for people like McCain to turn around and suddenly support Trump. Most presidents, even ones who fucked up a lot such as Bush Jr., still manage to earn at least the bare minimum respect that people would consider the office deserves. Trump on the other hand? Not a person I could ever respect. The best someone like Trump could ever expect from me is tolerance of them at best. But that would require them to not be actively shitting on the foundation of this nation and all of its people.

Alright then, how about we see you stick to your guns this time and actually try doing something about it then, Johnny.
In 1999, undercover MCSO deputies arrested James Saville, then 18 years old, and charged him with plotting to kill Arpaio with a pipe bomb. A local television station had been tipped off to the arrest by the MCSO, and broadcast footage of the arrest that evening. The MCSO held a news conference shortly after the arrest, and Arpaio appeared in interviews on local television stations, saying "If they think they are going to scare me away with bombs and everything else, it's not going to bother me."[126] After spending four years in jail awaiting trial, Saville was about to sign a plea deal that would have sent him to prison for 20 years. Although he maintained his innocence, he was initially unwilling to take a chance on being given an even longer sentence if convicted. However, the former head of undercover investigations for the MCSO called Saville's legal team with a bombshell -- based on his review of the case, he felt that Saville had been entrapped. Although entrapment is all but impossible to prove in most jurisdictions, Saville's attorneys eventually discovered that MCSO detectives had bought the bomb parts themselves, then convinced Saville to build it even though he was not predisposed to commit such a crime. On July 9, 2003, a Maricopa County Superior Court jury acquitted Saville, finding that the bomb plot was an elaborate publicity stunt to boost Arpaio's reelection bid.
This is some Reichstag Fire level shit. EDIT: Oh man, it gets better.
During September 2016, Arpaio claimed to be still investigating President Obama's birth certificate, stating, "We are looking at a forged document. Period." On December 15, 2016, Arpaio held a news conference along with posse member Mike Zullo, detailing "9 points of forgery" supposedly found on the digital image of Obama's birth certificate.
So we've gone from empowering and failing to condemn vile racists, to outright courting them. Every time I think this administration has hit rock bottom, I learn something new.
Things like this are why one man shouldn't have the ability to override the courts.
Fucking worthless cunt piece of shit. I hope he gets killed on live television. Waste of fucking space. Republicans are the scum of the earth.
He's 85. Time will take him soon. Good fucking riddance.
he deserved to die in prison
There is no justice in this shithole of a country anymore.

State Kerry: Sec of State, service in the military Obama: Pulled this country out of a recession and did a lot of work considering that Republicans did jack shit. McCain: Vietnam, defended Obama a couple of times during 2008 Bush Jr.: Defended Muslims, saying that we should not attack them because of what some radicals did. Bill Clinton: Surplus economy Bush Sr.: Former CIA, understood what would happen if we took down Hussein. By now, Trump will get my respect if he imposes Congressional Term Limits and resigns in disgrace, and takes all(maybe except Mattis) of his cronies with him. But it seems like he wants to fuck everything up and defend anyone who agrees with his asinine bullshit instead of being a decent human being. I know its supposed to take time, but Mueller, please hurry up.
It may have just been a fictional cartoon, but Futurama was off by a while as to when a Super Villain was elected President.
