Yep. I know that many of my people, I'm Jewish, voted and supported him despite keeping company with those who would be loved by the clear antisemitic portions of his crowds. It doesn't matter if most of the country hate him, as long as the Republican party stand with Trump he'll be fine. John McCain is concerned and thats about all we've seen in way of disapproval.

There's a lot of non-Americans on this forum who are more of an American patriot than a lot of these people are simply by nature. Because the ideals of an American patriot aren't ideals limited only to the US but should be things that everyone in every nation strive for.

Arpaio did some great things though:
- Extremely popular sheriff with thousands of TV appearances
- Saved the county $70,000 by requiring inmates to wear pink underwear so that it wouldn't be stolen on release, despite the fact that he soon after ran a re-election campaign during which he sold the pink underwear to the public to publicize this fact
- Oversaw the worst pattern of racial profiling in US history, according to the DOJ's investigation of racial profiling and employment bias
- Failed to fully investigate approximately 75% of cases
- Failed to arrest any suspects in approximately 85% of investigations
- Failed to investigate hundreds if not thousands of sex crimes
- Failed to investigate several serious crimes, including the rapes of several teenage girls, marking them as "solved" without investigation, before DNA testing was complete, or without identifying a suspect at all, in contravention of state-mandated crime-reporting protocol based on the FBI UCR
- Failed to arrest dozens of suspected child molesters, instead diverting resources and funds to white-collar cases involving his political opponents, including a mortgage fraud case in his hometown
- Failed to account for $600,000 worth of funding for additional detectives to investigate child abuse, resulting in no additional detectives added to the sex-crimes squad
- Failed to read DOJ race guidelines and did not know what the 14th Amendment was when deposed for racial profiling cases
- Failed to maintain his department's federal authority to identify and detain illegal immigrants under DHS rules due to extreme abuse of racial profiling and discrimination
- Failed to abide by the 4th Amendment by detaining several Latino tourists in separate instances for several hours on suspicion of illegal immigration with no evidence beyond racial profiling, most instances of which resulted in their release without charges and spawned a class-action lawsuit of which he openly destroyed evidence for, lied about, and mocked, for which he was rebuked multiple times, and ultimately resulted in taxpayers paying $4.4 million in attorney's fees
- Forced an 18-year-old to build a pipe bomb with materials his staff supplied and arrested him for doing so in a re-election publicity stunt that resulted in him being unlawfully detained for four years awaiting trial and awarded $1.6 million of taxpayer money in a settlement
- Forced inmates to eat moldy bread and rotten fruit, housed them in extremely hot cramped cells, denied critical medical and mental health care, and refused to provide basic toiletries, all for inmates who mostly were not convicted of a crime, to the point where he was ordered to stop twice by a district court and once by the Ninth Circuit
- Forced female inmates to sleep in their own menstrual blood, assaulted pregnant inmates, ignored inmate rape claims, and discriminated against Latino prisoners with limited English skills
- Forced the DOJ to file suit to compel his cooperation to obtain access to documents and facilities, something they had never done before against a law enforcement agency
- Lied to teenage rape victims about the results of their rape kits to clear cases prematurely
- Lied about his political opponent by claiming he molested his own mother, when in reality he was sexually abused as a teenager by her
- Lied about an ongoing criminal investigation of a judge who ruled against him, as well as the DOJ, US Attorney General, the mayor, and officers who had resigned, and hired a private investigator to follow the judge and his wife
- Misspent his own campaign committee's funds to fund attack ads against two opponents of his politician friends, for which he was fined $153,978
- Misspent $100 million of funds for detention facilities on patrol officers, investigations of political rivals, human-smuggling investigations, and luxury vacations for himself and upper-ranking members of his office, and kept a separate set of personnel books to hide the fact that this money was not going to detention officers' salaries
- Wasted $456,000 on a custom inmate transport bus which could not be used due to his violation of county procurement rules
- Wasted six months to investigate Obama's birth certificate and Selective Service card, then lied during a press release about the correct layout of the document, which he continued to use as the basis for his claims of forgery to this day
- Wasted $3.75 million of taxpayer money on settling a lawsuit in which he unlawfully arrested two journalists under fake charges after they published a news article describing an investigation of his office
- Attempted to criminally indict the state Attorney General, several judges, county supervisors, and other political opponents, all of which failed either in court, by voluntary rescinding, or at the grand jury level (signalling that there was absolutely no evidence to substantiate the claim), and spent over $45 million of taxpayer money on these failed investigations and settling the resulting lawsuits, for which the attorney who helped him was disbarred after an Arizona Supreme Court ruling found "clear and convincing evidence" that he "outrageously exploited power, flagrantly fostered fear, and disgracefully misused the law" by bringing unfounded and malicious criminal and civil charges against them
- Attempted to throw former employees under the bus to defend himself from claims of failure to stop racial profiling, for which he attempted to (again) spoliate evidence and was held in criminal contempt on three counts by willfully violating an order of the court, for which he was pardoned.
If you believe this man is an American patriot, you are either misinformed, racist, or regressive. If you are not simply shocked by his history of jaw-droppingly un-American behavior, you need to have a reality check. This man has done nothing but exploit his position for his personal gain and has made a complete fool out of each and every member of US law enforcement. He has wasted hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on political and racial witch hunts with nothing to show for it but a long list of defeats. He makes Chris Christie blush with how badly he has mismanaged not only his own department, but money of his own constituents through clear fraud and embezzlement. He continuously abused his power to win elections by a variety of patently illegal means, both civil and criminal. This has all been proven time and time again in a string of courtroom losses, of which he will constantly lie about to this very day, and has an obvious history of mocking and ignoring. He has absolutely zero respect for the rule of law. He has absolutely no business in any branch of government. He has absolutely proven the need for his conviction, arrest, and detainment.
