Muslims are nothing but puppets under the cleric and leaders hands, they give away all their freedom to that cause. "Mohammad" and "Allah" supposedly trapping them in endless progessional insanity, or in this case, praying in the direction of some stupid mosque.
All I can do is laugh...the responses are spot on and hilarious. I'm glad I'm in the bathroom typing this or I would've wet myself from laughter!
Dude. Mecca isn't a mosque... that would be silly.
It's a rock.
Mecca's a city.
Wow, they really know how to Mecca fool out of themselves.
"Their prayers will still be heard by Allah," he said.
So why is the slight direction shift necessary

You're right, but they're technically praying to a rock.

The acoustics are better.
looks like someone forgot how to use a compass.
Shifting directions for the mosque....
That would be hard.
Build mosques on giant turntables
problem solved
I always wondered if they really managed to get the exact correct direction to pray towards or if it was the whole principle of the thing. I mean really how accurate can you be with this kind of thing?
This thread... oh man.

I think there's an iPhone app with it (might've just been a computer program) but that uses the exact bearing of Mecca

Should have said "There's an app for that".

A black pagan rock which fell from the sky.
That would sound incredibly stupid if it wasn't true.
