that was the stupidest addition to an mmo i've ever seen
loving that trademark bioware awkwardness that's always in their romance scenes [editline]8:47PM[/editline] A: Well, I decided to romance [x]. B: I romanced [x] too! C: As did I. I virtually tapped that ass like no one's business. D: I did [x] three times and got an achievement!
I tried it for a bit, but it didn't have the same feeling I got from the actual Sony servers.
When was the last time you played it? The server improved greatly over the past 3 months, and getting much better.
Nah it was rushed, they took the whole class system and based the skills of WoW skills.
How does that mean it's rushed? This game only got pushed back and pushed back. This has always been a "when it's ready" game.
How does that mean it's rushed? This game only got pushed back and pushed back. This has always been a "when it's ready" game.
A game can take 10 years to release and still be rushed. It all depends on much they work on it and how its made.
When was the last time you played it? Only reason I'd like the Sony servers back is because, my first character was a female that I used to get tons of free shit from other players. I have like all the spaceships including that deluxe ship for veteran players. I wasn't sure what to do with them. And I had a few sets of mandalorian armor and some other rare shit.
I actually tried the free trail of it, wasn't thaaat bad but if you want to play a good F2P game... go try Star Trek Online. It has no shitty resrictions like this one here has. [sp](Full access to everything)[/sp]
They should have just made KotOR 3 instead. I would've bought that instantly.
I don't even like Bioware but the Tortanic shit is just getting obnoxious.
Yeah same here
A game can take 10 years to release and still be rushed. It all depends on much they work on it and how its made.
Okay so the game is rushed because a certain aspect is a lot like WoW? They decided how classes would work early on after they realized writing 100 different stories was impractical. Besides that they never said they planned on making the classes any other way.
I knew this would eventually happen.
Operations is end-game content so you have something to do after the game. Flashpoints are like raids. You find someone giving out a flashpoint quest, you group up with some people, you go for it. Flashpoints and operations give you the best gear. I think they will find the 15 dollar to play at all will be very unpopular. I am guessing it will be dropped sometime after and actually go free to play.
Flashpoints were 5 man instances, Operations were the 20 man raids. At least, that's how I remember it?
Flashpoints were 5 man instances, Operations were the 20 man raids. At least, that's how I remember it?
Flashpoints are 4 man and Operations are 8 and 16.
SWTOR is a game with much potential, 1.2 and 1.3 has proved that, aswell as the server transfers. This game is in no way "Tortanic." It just had a great deal of launch issues, most of which were address. Now that they were addressed the population has increased a great deal. F2P doesn't mean failure.
If it had a load of launch issues the nit most certainly was the tortanic.
why I usually don't care how graphics are in a game, do the graphics have anything to do with it? to me it just looks ..childish...
They should have just made KotOR 3 instead. I would've bought that instantly.
To bad they can't anymore since they ruined Revan and The Exile.
Haha, I remember the times when I was hyped because of its trailer: Now? Not really..
Some of that is delightfully like this:
That video was actually pretty chilling.
Haha, I remember the times when I was hyped because of its trailer: Now? Not really..
I love how the recent Planetside 2 CGI trailer is almost a 100% accurate representation of gameplay if albeit exaggerated whereas the SWTOR ones were as far from the truth as possible.
A word to the wise for those thinking of giving this game a go when it becomes f2p: Avoid jedi/sith at all costs and play as an Imperial Agent. The story for that class has a nice cold war/ illuminati vibe to it. All the other classes were a tad too cliche for my taste.
"Players want flexibility and choice. The subscription-only model presented a major barrier for a lot of people who wanted to become part of The Old Republic universe,"
I like how they never say that the game is doing poorly, they essentially say its a productive step forward, which in a sense is true. But they make it sound like the game is doing better than ever and that's why they're doing it.
I feel good having payed money for this crap.

i'm gonna tryit anyway. See what i can make of it.
uh what are you talking about that trailer wasn't accurate at all i mean, a single guy can kill maybe 2-3 guys at the beginning if he was certed like a madman, but the climbing on 2 galaxies in mid air, and having a fight ontop of the ship with his fists? yeeeeeaahhhhh
You can jetpack ontop of aircraft, not unless they're low down of course but it's possible. I did say it's exaggerated. He didn't actually kill many guys directly and his whole squad got killed as he was the only one who even made it to the base.
except you can't when they're that high up, hell, he would have run out of jetpack fuel/battery before the second galaxy AT LEAST also; you can't destroy buildings like in the trailer its like saying the tor trailer is accurate because you fight people with lightsabers and you can use force powers too
The jetpack was exaggerated. The building destruction isn't actually possible. You can't fight with fists ontop of aircraft. Sound like a CGI trailer intended to hype up a game without completely misrepresenting the gameplay to an audience.

Operations are More like Raids, Flashpoints are dungeons.
Title fits.
So hes a drone for liking something other people don't?
Title fits.
Thanks. I fail to see how enjoying SWTOR, because of what is good in the game, and the potential that remains within the product. Will that potential turn into a reality? Probably not, but that isn't going to stop me from playing the game when I have free gametime on the account. Would I have loved to see the game as what it was hyped to be? Absolutely! Gotta love ignorant people like you who, call other's Drones, or Biodrone because they see the good in a product. Am I this? (See below screenshot) Nope, there are many Bioware products that I dislike, and many things within those products including SWTOR, that I have problems with. You know nothing about me other than that post, and what other's think of me being of my stance on SWTOR. If I were to judge you by one post and your title, would that be correct? I do apologize for the mini rant, but the ignorance is just uncalled for.
Wow, the restrictions are ridiculous.

Also, that game, now in F2P, is way better than this game, ATM. Especially in the F2P feature section: http://sto.perfectworld.com/about/freetoplay/features-matrix With STO's Season Six, STO actually has some new content. SWTOR? *crickets*,
