And if you beat them to a pulp congratulations, you are actually fuelling the cycle by giving them the opportunity to sue you and fund more pickets. It makes sense. I doubt it'd be an instantaneous reincarnation unless it was the next hospital over, and even then souls would have to travel at the speed of light and through solid matter to pull that off, but how would that explain those who die and come back (usually by defibrillators)?
