Anyone can come from anywhere, yet people don't want to go through the legal process. If they don't want to, don't come in. Don't break our laws. On the other hand, if you legally come into the U.S., you are fully checked, background, and they don't hand you a gun.
That was sarcasm. That's what I'm saying. The legal process to become a citizen is crazy. However the people still want in, and when you have thousands of miles of hardly protected boarder, jumping it sounds like a good idea. SO if you make it easier to be legal, less honest people would jump. Not everyone who jumps is doing here to do something malicious.
Well we're going to be able to stop the obvious criminals jumping the fence for illegal activity, but at least we can make it easier for 18 year old Paco who want's to make a better living in America so he can support his family and have a chance at a better life, to become legal. The way it is now is crazy long, and its causing people to "skip the line" and jump the fence which is a large number of our illegal population. If we made it easier to be legal less honest Mexicans would jump, Therefore making the ones we found jumping more likely to be criminals smuggling shit and therefore easier to punish for obviously illegal acts.
And yet, no matter how hard you believe it is to enter legally, that gives them no right to break our laws nor ignore our own. If they really want to live in our country, respect our laws, if not, get out.
Not being able to speak English isn't illegal.
Right. but it gives an officer reasonable suspicion that the ones in the back or the driver may not be here legally.

No, it's not reasonable suspicion, it's racial profiling. Anytime any officer arrests a Mexican he did it on racial profiling. Every cop is a bad cop and is white and hates Mexicans. Duh. /sarcasm
Arizona's own citizens are in fear, because of the amount of crime coming over the boarders.
well then they are dumb because on average illegal immigrants commit less crime
What a huge waste of taxpayers money or more likely to add to our already massive debt. Arizona stepped in where they failed and it's time to clear out the Democrats.
I'll see you in November. You better hope the Illegal democrats come out to vote.
illegal people can't vote
they can't rape you in your sleep either, so stop dreaming
I don't know how bad illegal immigration is in Arizona but I know it's pretty bad in Texas. They make pretty good Mexican restaurants though. Back in high school Mexicans were cooler if they were "Illegal" or don't have a green card.

I knew you couldn't just stand idly while someone took over your position of "Dumbest Person on Facepunch"
nice to see you've reclaimed the throne
Excuse me, I meant to call them illegal potential democrats. Rob Peter to pay Paul and all that.

whoa Glaber you're on fire here don't let up ok
illegal people can't vote

Which is one of the reasons why white politicians govern areas where Hispanics outnumber whites. And the fact that Mexicans tend not to vote.
Not saying if it's right or wrong, but that's whats up.
I still don't know for sure why the federal government thinks this is a federal issue.
I'm not taking sides, but the Arizona law isn't about border patrol, it's about finding illegal immigrants within the state. They can be hundreds of miles away from the border and still within Arizona. Why isn't it a state issue?
I don't really like the law, and it could lead to racial profiling and all that, but I don't see how it's a federal issue.
um
the constitution specifically gives power over immigration issues to the federal government
um

This.
In short Arizona implemented the law because the other border states receive far more money for border security than they do. Arizona wanted to stop the problem themselves.
um

The only thing the Constitution says about Immigration is:
To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization
Which I interpret to mean, they get to set the rules on how you become a citizen. But I don't think it says that a state can't kick you out if you have no intention of starting the Naturalization process.
I don't even know what to say to you, you're just so ignorant it amazes me.
That is hilarious coming from you.
The thing is people expect that whenever there is a problem like this they are supposed to treat everyone fair, keep it civil, clean. Whatever happened to that saying "Life is not fair." The illegal immigration is a problem, The best way right now is to put them back in Mexico. If they are not here legally. If they really want to be here that bad they will go through all the paper work. If I were a cop and I pulled someone over for a busted tail light, and he has 6 Mexican friends in the back that don't speak a word of English. I'm going to check for papers, if they don't have the papers, the officer can not do his job. The illegal aliens are messing with the economy. Whenever you fix a problem, you have to get dirty sometimes.
Problem is the US likes them to be illegal, mostly because then they don't ask for social security or benefits and they don't work for minimum wage. They also make perfect scapegoats, "lose your job? blame mexicans!"
Basically illegal immigrants work for less than Americans and demand way fewer things, making them ideal "peasants"
A bricklayer will never get a green-card as he has nothing to offer really, it's hard to immigrate legally to the US, uneducated laborers have no chance.
I would rather have this bill passed rather than to mobilize the National Guard in the state. That would be even more embarrassing.

Considering you're a republican and their whole idea is that "Obama is a muslim communist!"
That's the pot calling the kettle black, and then sopme.
then sopme.
D:>

i remember when that used to be a permaban word
I think you're the first person to notice that.
I guess all the oldies have left/don't care.
it was a pretty stupid fad
Yeah but so are most fads
I do it for nostalgic purposes.

Either way, just like anonymous, expect us.
Why are people republican, I don't get it.
I'm ignorant to willful ignorance.
Not every officer, but some are, which is why it should be illegal.
Anyone who doesn't think this bill attempts to legalize racial profiling clearly has no concept of what motives are behind it and who it's being passed by.
The argument that anyone is liable to be searched is just stupid. Plainly dressed white Arizonans are NEVER going to get searched, because let's be honest; they probably aren't within five generations of an immigrant and the police know that. It's a legitimate effort to make racist policy legal to avoid the difficulties of having to legally search for the illegal immigrants.
And if Arizona just came out and was honest it would be one thing, but they try to disguise their obvious profiling with weak excuses.
Ok bro, you keep saying that, keep living in La-la land where only brown people get searched by the police since you have never ventured out of your little upper class suburb where the police know everyone has layers
Cops are equal opportunity assholes regardless of skin color, and this law gives them no more power to do anything they haven't been able to do before, and they were already racial profiling years before from sea to shining sea before Arizona, one state out of fifty, decided to pass a bill requiring the enforcement of a federal law on the state level, I don't get why we are throwing such a hissyfit over this, a majority states enforce federal drug laws on the state level, a majority states enforce federal gun laws on the state level, why all the drama over immigration... Oh right, because Mexicans have dark skin they have to commit murder before anyone DARES ask them if they are currently legal within this Nation's border after they arrest them.
Also I find it funny Mexico issued a Travel Advisory for Arizona for Mexican Citizens as if they can't afford to carry one of these on them

Also the Mexican Government's Hypocrisy on Illegal Immigration is so amazing and blatant it's not even funny how people like you and the Media ignore it, though I give props to CNN for attempting to call the Mexican President out on this shit when they had him on, making him sweat as he said 'Umm..Uh... we check at the border that's it, those laws are outdated and we are... erm... working to remove those'
As fucking if, I wish Guatemala had issued a Travel advisory on Estado Libre y Soberan de Chiapas to see how the Mexicans would react to them the same way they are reacting to the United States
Not only is Mexican Immigration Law tens time worst and more fascist then this simple Arizona law could ever be, it's strictly enforced NATION WIDE with no places to bend the rules, no sanctuary cities to hide in, and even if you become a citizen in Mexico, god help you if you are foreign born, you have no right to protest, you have no right to vote, you have no right to live within 50km of the coast, or 100km of a border, you have no right to start a business unless you pay quote "Five Hundred Times The Average Wage", and various other restrictions despite being a full Mexican Citizen
Why does nobody give a shit about these Mexican Laws despite the fact even that various fucking NGOs have accursed Mexico of human rights violations, but NOBODY GIVES A SHIT since Mexicans and Guatemalans happen to have the same skin color, despite the fact they constantly harass Europeans and White Americans outside of the tourist areas.
Fucking Mexican Police, "Eh, tu, gringo! muestrame tu pasaporte o identificación Las y te arrst sobre el terreno", yet you people throw a bitch fit that the Police ask for the ID of people they suspect have committed a crime, or someone they pulled over (Wait, a White Police Officer is asking me for my Driver License, Registration and Insurance?! THEY ARE RACIST PIGS I TELL YOU), fucking despicable.
