Confirmed Europeans, and maybe Americans.

Those are exactly the nations whose Civs you don't wanna kill.
Especially the US.
I'm not trying to imply anything but I thought this was interesting.

Because it was an American made plane (MH17), likely with Americans on board, it will be investigated by the NTSB, along with the AAIB because there were Brits on board. These guys will prove who is at fault for shooting it down or if it was a freak accident and nobody is to blame.
On a separate note:
I was also talking with a family friend who's a 747-400 pilot and he thinks the MH370 event was pilot suicide. Looking at evidence, he said it looks like the pilot waited for the co-pilot (or vice versa) to leave to go to the bathroom then locked the door, put on his oxygen mask and turned off the oxygen for the cabin, then flew in a random direction until the aircraft ran out of fuel.

Now Ukranian state media says that they have no means to shoot down such high altitude target. Pretty funny seeing each side bashing each other.

71 Dutch.
Assuming this was intentional or unintentional attack, anyone and everyone involved in shooting down this airliner needs to face serious punishment, be it imprisonment or death. Shooting down an armed military craft is understandable in the right context, since all involved are adult military personnel that very well might want you dead, but completely obliterating an unarmed civilian aircraft and all aboard for no reason is goddamned disgusting.
Apparently 80 or so children were aboard that died, according to an earlier post. 80. They shot down not only a plane filled with civilians, but one that had a large amount of harmless and defenseless kids aboard.
I don't care how much you hate someone and/or the group they're a part of, you do not fucking murder innocent children. That's just plain horrific. Not to say that the deaths of the adults aboard mean any less, but you could at least very, very weakly justify it as some/all of them being awful people.
You can't even try to make that sort of half-assed justification with nearly a hundred dead children. These people need to be dealt with. I'd prefer to avoid having national leaders fire up more wars that would cause further misery and suffering, but these people need to be stopped somehow, preferably without a full-on war.
If they don't have any means of attacking targets at that attitude, then how come terrorists using their weaponry do?

It is unknown exactly how many people from Dutch nationality were on board, but of what is currently known, more than 70 Dutch people were on the flight. This is just of three travel agencies who have released their info.

/r/Conspiracy will have a field trip today.
Speaking of field trip, why were there so many minors anyways?
Without trying to sound like a conspiracy nut, what if this was some cleverly executed false flag or terrorist ordeal where they planned to bring it down over the Ukraine on purpose?
Because you have to find a lot of people publicly elected into positions of power willing to kill children.
Speaking of field trip, why were there so many minors anyways?
"Children" is a term that can vary from 9 to 19 depending on how you want to present the story.
Anyways, I'll make one thing clear.
I am a staunch supporter of the EU. If the EU doesn't react in any meaningful way to it's citizens dying, and will continue pussy-footing around the issue.
Then the EU as a whole can go fuck itself cause it's useless when it comes to an actual crisis

Where would your pilot buddy get that information from? Literally every side is saying the plane was shot down.
The most likely reason for this incident is that this was a major mistake made by an inexperienced rebel AA crew. They probably did not know that the airplane was civilian, and mistook it for a Ukrainian army cargo plane, a type of target that has been downed for great effect previously during the conflict.
By the looks of it, the rebels claimed the kill on social media before properly identifying the aircraft, which could mean that they documented their massive mistake before realizing it. If that is the case, the amount of evidence against them, black box or not, will make it extremely difficult for Russia to keep supporting them the slightest bit, since they won't even have a chance to cover it up.
It is quite unlikely for Russia to have shot down any airplane. They warned the Ukrainians about not messing with their border, but they likely won't go as far as shooting down planes in Ukrainian airspace. The other way around, the Ukrainians does not face any threat by air currently, which means they would likely not target an unidentified airplane, especially since their airspace is used by commercial airlines, and they should know that. It could be a mistake by either of the two countries, but it is most likely that the rebels have made a huge mistake.
If the AA tech is from Russia, they will most likely face severe sanctions. If the AA tech was captured from the Ukrainian army, then the rebels will receive the blame alone.
Fox is probably already blaming the Russians, and RT is probably already blaming the US or NATO.
The question is, how much support will the Ukrainians get to fight the rebels? If all this is true, the rebels likely have no friends outside of their own trenches anymore.

He's talking about the other Malaysian Airlines plane that disappeared a couple months ago with the pilot suicide thing
Where would your pilot buddy get that information from? Literally every side is saying the plane was shot down.
In the latter, I was talking about the one that happened earlier this year, I even said MH370, not MH17.
They need to invade Russia.
Not even Russia is controlling those separatists anymore, they're doing whatever their braindead heads want them to.
They're just a stain on the world that need to be wiped out

I would guess because they're implying the weaponry came from Russia. Given Crimea, that's not a huge inference to make.

He was talking about the missing malaysian place
