Don't know why, but this scratch reminds me about that quote from Conan Doyle about "things worse than tigers" that inhabit the skies, or somehting like that.
looks like some pretty obvious shrapnel damage
Thats what they want you to think.

Obviously sky monsters did this, trying to stir up shit between mankind so they can invade.
Shrapnel damage?
The plane blew up and fell out of the fucking sky, am I supposed to see some holes in a piece of metal that fell 30000 feet and assume something?
Yep pack up guys thread is over the plane that got fucking shot out of the sky has holes in it, who would've guessed?!!?
edit - judging by the holes in the plane that is OBVIOUSLY from a heavy assault battle machine gun, probably an ak-47! It was the Ukrainians alllll along.

I thought it was bird shit for a minute

if it broke apart in flight, all the pieces would be going fairly slowly relative to each other, then they would fall to earth at terminal velocity (which is likely to be lower than the plane's forward velocity at cruising speed)
so yeah actually it'd be kinda hard to splatter a hole in aluminium like that from just having it fall to the ground

It can easily be just a scratch made by some stone or other object with sharp edges.
Yea lets post a picture with no description or context as to what you're trying to say.
Thank you now we can all stop arguing because you have cleared everything up.
Why are you so aggressive for him posting this. Maybe it struck a nerve with him or seemed interesting.

But... But... That makes too much sense...
yo guys i think that plane like felt down and crashed
not sure tho, i need more pics
I just though the scratch was kind of interesting so I decided to post it for some reason, relax

I am a sarcastic person, never knew someone on the internet could have such thin skin.
A plane got blown out of the sky, and fell 30000 feet.
Last time I checked aluminum is a light weight metal not known for extreme durability. The impact from crashing into the ground or I dont know, a fucking explosion from a rocket could probably punch some ugly holes into aluminum.

Definitely the talons of a feral Russian.
I speculate they used some kind of bat wings to get close to the plane.
Ima call the UN and tell them my findings.

Reminds me of the KAL 007 shoe picture:

In speaking of KAL 007 and the current shoot down

suprising that the money is still there on the picture. Considering the reports of looters....
But that donald duck pocket, I always read those...... and that drawing. Probably from a child... Jesus christ man.
What a tragedy...
So what happens now?
I bet one of to things:
1) The truth gets out, turns out Russian Separatists shot it down. Putin withdraws support for the rebels.
2) Russia claims that after "studying" the crash and the aftermath, that the flight was shot down by Ukrainians. Use as pretext for invasion. Rest of the world doesn't believe them but what are we going to do?

I doubt he'll invade
Despite Putin's involvement with organized troops along the border/etc, I think there may be some officers acting on their own accord. That's not to say that Russia has no connection to the incident in the first place.
15:59: "The shooting down of the Malaysian airliner may be a war crime under the Geneva Convention," Dr James Summers, Director of the Centre for International Law and Human Rights at Lancaster University, tells the BBC.
"Malaysia could be entitled to bring the state responsible for the shooting down of the airliner, or providing the missiles to do so, before the International Court of Justice," he said.
(Source)
Apparently an Australian family lost people on MH370 and then they lost people on this flight too.
The fact that militants/anybody is firing at commercial airliners is a massive concern to everybody.
There's video of the plane being shot down. You can see the missile, see it hit the plane, and see the plane nose dive.
Trying to find it
Very interested in that, but it's probably the older video of the AN you are talking about. People mistook it for the 777.
Obama is going to speak about it on reuters. Can't provide a link since I'm on my phone

Pretty sure it was the 777. The plane was intact the entire way down and you can watch it dive until it falls behind the trees

Definitely the 777
How they shot it down is important since it could be used to prove if the rebels have the BUK rather than a bunch of MANPADs.
Commercial aircraft crusing altitude is > 30000 feet.
That height requires you to have a sophisticated AA system like the BUK.
If the antonov was flying lower it would mean they could have used a MANPAD in which case it wouldn't mean they have a working BUK system.
That's what's confusing, flight MH-17 was flying at 33-34 thousand up right? How the fuck did they mistake a jet airliner with a propeller plane that has a service ceiling of 24 thousand feet? Let alone if you add in the weight of equipment it'll weigh even more, maybe they thought it got a couple of jet engines and was just carrying troops?

This is pretty much the reason I think the separatist shot it down - no reason for Ukraine to suspect the plane, and no reason for Russia to fire over their border.
Snip not the plane
Holy shit, now I feel bad, it only hit the right wing, so the passengers had to sit through the fact their plane was plummeting to the ground.
Pretty bad deal. You could tell that from the debris though. It was all contained (Including part of the missile if you look closely) in one area
The Executive Director of the Ron Paul Institute has suggested that the Ukrainian government may have been responsible:

This is false. This is a video of the AN 26 being shot down weeks ago.

Same video was posted on youtube 2 weeks ago. Not the MH17.
