The AN-26 happened a few days ago, and they had pictures of the small prop planned crash into ground.
The article is dated today, two hours ago, and uses "another AN-26" in the title.
Or maybe the world should use this as a justification that the conflict is getting out of hand and that it's time for the two factions to bring a halt to warfare as now even innocents completely unrelated to the conflict have perished because of their joint stubbornness and radicalism? No, of course not. Lets pin their heads on stakes and hang them on all the lamp posts we can come across, that'll teach these barbaric rebels and untrustworthy government forces not to fuck with the rest of the world.
Asking nicely hasn't worked so far, it's really time for action. I don't like that the rest of the world has stood by for so long while Ukraine shakes itself apart over Euromaidan.
Hopefully the world condemns this shiit and we scare Russia and Ukraine into successful peace talks.
i'm scared, pls don't escalate
Me too. The last winter was a nightmare for me. I think I'll take a break for half a year somewhere far away from it all...
So far it's definitely seeming like separatists did it. I hope they get fucked for this.
I don't think the Separatist could have, I doubt they have the equipment to take out a cruising airliner.
I don't think the Separatist could have, I doubt they have the equipment to take out a cruising airliner.
Since they hijacked Ukrainian SAM equipment they definitely could have.

BBC defence correspondent speculating that it may of been shot down by a Long Range Surface to air Missile possibly guided by radar
I don't think the Separatist could have, I doubt they have the equipment to take out a cruising airliner.
It has to be a long range missile or an air to air intercept, either one of those the separatists don't have.
295 people. That's a lot of people.
Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to Ukraine's interior minister, said on his Facebook page the plane was flying at an altitude of 10,000 meters (33,000 feet) when it was hit by a missile fired from a Buk launcher. A similar launcher was seen by Associated Press journalists near the eastern Ukrainian town of Snizhne earlier Thursday. The Buk missile system can fire missiles up to an altitude of 22,000 meters (72,000 feet).
http://pressimus.com/Interpreter_Mag/press/3385 https://twitter.com/search?q=%23MH17&src=tren&mode=photos
BBC defence correspondent speculating that it may of been shot down by a Long Range Surface to air Missile possibly guided by radar
We know it was a SAM but I don't want to jump that far to a conclusion just yet, he probably is right.

It probably fell apart midair from the missile's explosion.
It has to be a long range missile or an air to air intercept, either one of those the separatists don't have.
The plane was at 10,000 meters and we know they have Buks which is well within that range.
Most likely it will have been the rebels, they seem to be just shooting at anything flying overhead.
I really doubt that, shooting down something at 33,000 ft with rebel equipment?
Especially no mayday or pan call either.
That's a pretty definite confirmation that the plane broke up while still in flight, which doesn't tend to happen due to mechanical issues.
Just wondering what broke off first, normally it's the tail that sheers off if it's an air to air interception as the missile is coming from behind. If it's from the bottom, it's a SAM.
Look how most of those turned out.
Probably better than Syria right now.
15km from the crash site? It probably fell apart midair from the missile's explosion.
And the FR24 data suggests so too, since the last ADS-B snapshot showed 33K feet.
It has to be a long range missile or an air to air intercept, either one of those the separatists don't have.
Separatists have Sa-11 launchers stolen from the Ukrainian army, these would be capable of taking that plane down. Was the plan flying over rebel areas at the time?

Graphic images are appearing on social media sites of bodies.
295 people. That's a lot of people.
This single incident now accounts for about a third of the deaths in the eastern Ukraine conflict
Especially no mayday or pan call either.
No mayday, never squawked 7700. Casualties and debris spread over a 15km area at least. The aircraft broke up in midair for sure, whether it was hit or not.
