Seriously go look at the polls, they have a new favorite every other week (always tied with Mitt, and eventually they'll turn on him too and bring up the Mormonism thing)
Before you all get your panties in a bunch (what am I saying, this is Facepunch, it's too late) this is just one guy's completely and totally unverified opinion. Plus:
If the administration needs to cut budgets, it should start with those of the regulatory agencies that are strangling the nation’s businesses
Yeah, not an opinion piece at all. I'll panic when an actual budget plan comes out.

It's Robert Zubrin.
It's Robert Zubrin.
Who is not a member of NASA, and who (at this point) I'm not going to believe if he presents no evidence than the claim "I know a guy at NASA who says this".
Plus, come on, Obama isn't stupid enough to can the planetary exploration division, it's the best bang-for-the-buck operation in all of NASA.
Deal with excessive spending?
Nah, let's go back to the 20th century.
Obama could do literally anything horrible and still get reelected, no matter what he does he's still better than any Republican nut job that is running
That's a terrible point of view and is what is wrong with too any voters today
They've heard so much bias about one party that their own can do horrible things and them do nothing but defend it
If this is true he won't stand a chance of getting back in office.

Doubt it. He would lose a lot of voters with elections within a year.
When has NASA and space exploration been a pressing matter among the American public recently?
Eh, good decision, we really need to get the world in a stable economic environment before doing projects like this. If many nations that were economically stable then space exploration would be much more viable.
ha, rate me dumb because I think we should not delve into space missions with shitty budgets and doing the same things over and over?
It already is crowded.
No it isn't. Not even close.
cut some military funding and use it for NASA
not cripple NASA
Aren't they overfunding the military budget last I heard?
If so a cut is probably needed for the military. The only wars they're fighting is on someone else's turf and just destroying those people's countries.
