• Pain-free injections could be on the way with patch-like invention

i've always had the hugest needle phobia, i was shitting bricks a few months ago when i had to get blood drawn for testing, but then it happened and i didn't feel the needle at all, even though i was staring at it while it went in intramuscular injections hurt a lot more for me because of that deep dull muscle pain you get
awesome. i generally don't have an issue with needles (unless they go into my mouth FUCK YOU DENTISTS YOU ARE LITERAL SCUM OF THE EARTH) but there was this one time where a nurse had problems looking for a good vein and ended up stabbing me 2 times in each hand before finding a vein in my arm. now just figure out how to get the IV in my arm first time and hospital stays might not be too bad
Yes cause the true mark of a man is sitting down to get a vaccine and not flinching? Really, are you that much of a colossal dong smoker that you are against a vaccine patch, like actually run through that logic in your head and write a 1000 word essay on how much of glorious shit bird you are by next Friday.
I'll be honest, I was legitimately ~700 words into an essay on how shit he is before I decided it probably wasn't worth it. Seriously though, I think his entire idea's built on a fallacy. How the fuck is accommodating for "whiners" a bad thing to anyone except people who feel insecure about how nobody helped them with their problems?
I'm absolutely horrified of needles. I'm 16 and the last time I had a shot I almost needed to be held down since I struggled so much. I curl up and start bawling, they scare me so fucking much.
Eh I have no problem with needles after getting admitted to the hospital and having the IV stabbed into me but damn does it suck to get injected multiple times because they missed the vein
Reading this thread has made me light headed
Oh wow, this reminds me when I slugged a nurse in the face because of the pain caused by the needle as a kid
There was this one time, I had to get blood drawn out for insurance reasons. I watched the needle go in and then I woke up on the floor. I hate needles so I hope this takes ground.
Unfortunately this won't help with intravenous injections nor with drawing blood. First, it's far too inprecise to be used for intravenous action, since mainly veins used for those are quite small, and need to be punctured by a single needle. Second, it doesn't seem it can penetrate deep enough to reach the veins large enough for either injecting intravenously or for drawing blood.
You know the worst? Needle in your fucking mouth the dentist. That needle isfucking huge but after many times im used to it.
I hate those injections, too. Not because it hurts, but because that shit tastes fucking nasty and lingers in my mouth for hours.
I donated blood once, a pint of it. I got to hold the bag of hot blood, it was like a football of maroon :v: The only part that really skeeves me out is when they ask you to squeeze a ball to help suck the blood out of your arm lol
Fuck lidocaine.
