So it's not where I was born but rather the social contract my parents signed upon my birth in relation to which country they currently live in. Yeah.. that makes sense. I guess that clears it up then.
I don't get how I'm supposed to take the "economically unsustainable" argument at face value with nothing to back it up when we're talking about the economically most well-off continent in the world :v:
There's no debating with someone who purports to believe that the EU's economy is the best in the world.

are there really people who hate people born on continents
it's that really what I'm reading here
what are you, hawaiian?
I hope I'm just being stupid
If you were born in India and were an Indian citizen, I would say you are a part of a group I'll call the the 'Indians'.
If you were born on the continent or are a citizen of a country on the continent, I'll call you a 'Continental'.
What is the problem you have with this?

Where did you get hate from? Disdain, yes, but I don't think I've shown hatred towards that group.

Europe's got the highest GDP by far.
Strange a German would hold such a view.
You can see nothing wrong with this way of thinking?
You can see nothing wrong with this way of thinking?
No, you should point it out explicitly if you're convinced there is a problem.
A person should be tolerant of other peoples views, and not attempt to censor them or coerce them into not speaking their mind. I feel a German person would be acutely aware of the dangers of self-censorship and not speaking up out of fear more so than most due to recent historical events.
Europe's got the highest GDP by far.
lol, ok that's that then.
lol, ok that's that then.
Not by capita, but we're still doing pretty damn well for ourselves compared to the rest of the world.

whats a continental? are you saying you were born on a airplane or something?
Not where people were born, but what groups they belong to. I have indeed traveled the world and seen some other cultures, how they are similar to mine and how they differ. You are continentals living on the continent are you not?
You must be most people, then.
Are you playing dumb to make some sort of point here?
"Most scientists agree that Climate change is happening and it's manmade"
"OOOOH So You must be most people, then!"
Can you shitpost any harder?
whats a continental? are you saying you were born on a airplane or something?
Based on the context I would have thought the meaning was obvious, but in lieu of your googling of the term:
continental (adj.)
1818 as a purely geographical term, from continent + -al (1). In reference to the European mainland (as opposed to Great Britain), recorded from 1760. Continental breakfast (the kind eaten on the continent as opposed to the kind eaten in Britain) is attested by 1855. In reference to the British American colonies from 1774; the Continental Congress is attested from 1775; continental divide in use by 1865; continental rise in geology from 1959; continental slope from 1907. Continental shelf first attested 1888.
So when you said "What is with you continentals telling me how I should think and talk?" you meant that somehow it's only continentals telling you how to think or talk?
Can you shitpost any harder?
It's hardly fair for you to call me out for shitposting because I disagree with how you speak for other people.
Whilst I may appear a "tool" to you and to those who don't share my views, I don't think your opinion can be presented as the opinion of "most people" and it was wrong of you to do so.
A tool can be useful in many circumstances, an anus is only useful for shitting.

In this thread, yes.
Talking about "tribes" when making assumptions about evolutionary principles applied to complex human societies is Social Darwinism and makes you look like a tool.
Thankfully in todays society most people, by far, agree in that. Its next step is eugenics by the way
That has nothing to do with me disagreeing with your opinions.
You might read the Wikipedia article about that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_Darwinism
Maybe so, but to speak with the arrogance and self-righteousness that your opinion is held by most other people is what bothers me.
Call them gangs, groups, clubs, societies, cults, religions whatever. To me, they are all just 'tribes' of one form or another.
Based on the context I would have thought the meaning was obvious, but in lieu of your googling of the term:
which meaning do you mean? mainland europe or someone living in a continent? and if its mainland europe just say mainland europe? we arent in 1812.
and so country's are tribes? does that mean you like, live in a tiki hut in the moon? i am so confused, please explain more.
[editline]10th June 2016[/editline]
Okay, so I read your post history, and you really REALLY hate Europe for some reason.

That is not self righteousness, it's scientific consent. Arguing against it makes you look like a tool, just like arguing against a heliocentric system would make you look like a tool.

I don't think I can respond to this. Try again?
Okay, so I read your post history, and you really REALLY hate Europe for some reason.
Please don't tell me how I feel. Why would I hate my own continent? I may hate the EU but I love Europe and my fellow European brothers and sisters.
Just how many alts do you have?
Pro-refugee people vs th0rianite up in this. If you don't want these refugees in Europe you must be a xenophobe islamophobe white KKK member grand wizard racist guy.
All these names thrown at th0rianite because he does not agree with the refugees shipped to Europe deal which he is right to object and he's entitled to an opinion just like you shitposters are. There's no point in taking them to Europe when you could just fund the camps closers to the warring nation to achieve better result. Which has been mentioned multiple times already. Lots more pros to that plan than bringing them all the way to Europe.
For every refugee the west accepts, you could help 2-3 in syria.
So when youre "pro refugee", think about the 2 other refugees you dont help

What I still don't understand is why these countries are taking on a ton of refugees when they themselves already have homelessness problems within their own borders.
What I still don't understand is why these countries are taking on a ton of refugees when they themselves already have homelessness problems within their own borders.
Because helping your own people first is now considered racist and politically incorrect.

May I remind you that it was only through people making themselves "look like a tool" by arguing against the scientific consensus, that the heliocentric model was accepted in the first place. I will proudly accept the title of tool.

Well the people arguing against the outdated and incorrect models tend to actually bring demonstrable, repeatable results to the table.
But yeah, you go girl, fight those science men and their oppressive powers!

Nobody is taking them to Europe except traffickers

Except that fighting for heliocentric model was fighting for a new, improved model that nobody accepted and even refused out of religious reasons(while Muslim scholars already knew it for a long time by the way).
You on the other hand are trying to defend demagogic principles used by the Nazis and pretty much any despotic regime in History to stir up shit against "outer enemies"(Oh no the Germanic tribes are invading lets build A WALL) and on top of that HAVE BEEN DISPROVEN FOR OVER 60 YEARS.
You are trying to get yourself in some sort of victim role here and you are just looking more and more pathetic.

What I don't get is why Germany is spending 60 billion dollars on Eurofighter jets-
What I don't get is why Germany is spending 4 billion dollars on an airport-
What I don't get is why Europe is spending money on ecosystem protection-
What I don't get is why my uncle is spending money on a new flatscreen-
while there are still homeless people within our borders
Because helping your own people first is now considered racist and politically incorrect.
Who is saying that?

What the fuck just happened? It's like as soon as you said it you summoned every anti-refugee person on Facepunch.
On to your actual argument, no one is calling thOrianite a xenophobe for suggesting that we shouldn't take refugees in. People are calling him that because he literally is one. He believes that generalization of people and the subsequent racism created are natural things an thus we must abide by them. Then, when people attempt to disprove him and call him out on his bullshit, all he uses strawman arguments to beat around the bush. We're not attacking his argument, just his general views on other people.
What I still don't understand is why these countries are taking on a ton of refugees when they themselves already have homelessness problems within their own borders.
...you realise we can approach more than one thing at once right? The governmental departments that handle international crisis response and the departments than handle domestic poverty issues are mutually exclusive.
Not that any of you fuckers gave a shit about the homeless problem until you could use it to scapegoat refugees some more lmao. No cunt ever talks about it in a serious manner until they can use it as a moral stepping stone.

http://cis.org/High-Cost-of-Resettling-Middle-Eastern-Refugees
here's a source for the cost of resettling refugees from the middle east to US (where the cost of 1 in the US equals 12 in the syria) but you may also scroll down to "cost in other countries" and crunch some numbers yourself
