The biggest aspect of the original Red Dawn was how realistic it was. So obviously, the fans are going to be upset when they see the remake being complete shit.

Red Dawn and World in Conflict were the most interesting and creative invasion of the US by *insert commies here* that I've ever seen.
Maybe they will release a Chinese version with strictly Koreans, and then a non retarded, rest of the world edition for people who don't live in Police States
Red Dawn was an awesome movie, this new one better live up to the name.
It makes me think: Yo dawg I heard you like Red Dawn and videogames so I put some Red Dawn in your Homefront so you can watch the Red Dawn remake when you play Homefront.
Stop complaining about realism. Suspend your disbelief for once, sheesh.
Suspension of disbelief isn't carte blanche to come up with whatever absurd scenario you can think of. Might as well have the US being invaded by Monaco.
Fucking PLA using Abrams? are you kidding? and the fucking people at the art department was retarded, HURR SLAP PLA STAR ON AMERICAN FLAG DURR
The Abrams was captured from a US military base maybe? And it's not like it's a terrible substitute for a Type 99 or anything.

[img_thumb]http://media.moddb.com/images/groups/1/3/2074/Type99.jpg[/img_thumb]
That's a Type 98. That prototype tank never entered any large-scale service with the PLA, much like the initial versions of the T-80 with the USSR back in 1976. See the slab-sided turret front? The Type 99 and its variants feature a wedge-shaped turret front similar to the Leo 2A6. I wouldn't call a movie where Soviets have forgotten their experience from Afghanistan on how to eliminate guerrilla bands (made up of semi-Rambos) as realistic.
I hate how the pictures are showing them using AKs [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Oh, totally wrong uniform also. I remember seeing a picture of a horribly made APC. Anyone have that pic? [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] Oh, totally wrong uniform also. I remember seeing a picture of a horribly made APC.
I've lowered my hopes for this movie now. It's gonna look so cheap with the altered PLA Vehicles and the Chinese Army Uniforms and the Soldiers words not matching their mouth movements.
oh you'd be surprised what they can do with dem mouth movements

Seeing the title, I was expecting the article to be from some guy who was confused and thought the invaders in the original Red Dawn were Chinese and they were being made North Korean for the remake. The invaders were Mexican and Cuban, supplemented by Soviet in Red Dawn. Also, as for the suspension of disbelief, remember that the start of the original Red Dawn featured a brief sequence explaining how a number of events occurred prior to the movie that didn't actually happen that way.

Also our European Allies 'quit' the Cold War because they didn't want a war. And the Soviet Union nuked China to keep them down while it invaded the United States.

And nice job on the Soviet era helmets boys. That's really what the North Koreans wear now.(Although it might)

The AN-94 looks nothing like that except that both weapons have black furniture.
Those might be AN-94's. Not really a little more superior, the two shot burst happens so fast it gets the grouping of one shot. That's the main appeal of it.
that's fucking stupid.
Those might be AN-94's. A weapon that's a little more superior in desing than the kalashnikov series, but they are about three times as expensive as a regular AK-74.
But the chinese use the QBZ-95 and the type series!

It's still the same People's Republic opposed to the USSR ever since the Sino-Soviet Split. Fun fact: In the 1980s the US collaborated with the PLA to modernize their obsolete Type 59 fleet into tanks that looked like this, but the end of the Cold War and the Tiananmen Square Protests ended all that. Looks like something from BF2142 :raise:
I kicked America's ass in the end
Oh God, Great I know that china MAYBE be offended, but only a little. Great a new film that could have been good is now going to look like shit because of this.
Dammmit! I already had my PLA shirt and everything!
Well even though it will look like a mess at times, I'll still go to see it.
in the back of my mind i cant help but think this is going to be the modern 'better red than dead' inspirational movie of our generation patriotic americans everywhere will be chanting death to north korea
North Korea has no chance in invading the US but if China invaded that would be one epic war. Chinese Army Remix
It should be Libyans invading. (User was permabanned for this post ("Gimmick" - Swebonny))
God I thought they canceled this shitty movie?
This sucks shit. Red Dawn was cool because there's something classic about the whole Cold War scare era, I mean, everything awesome about Red Dawn was the Russians. Koreans are just goofy, they're not intimidating. I'm going to see it anyway though.
