Cause he got out. There's no proof as to why or when that is and there's no "logical" deduction
Actually, he got out of the truck to chase Trayvon. You can hear him getting out and running after him on the 911 call, while the 911 operator is telling him "get back in your vehicle. We don't need you to follow him." He lost sight of the kid, and decided to get out of the vehicle to find him again. Up to that point, we're pretty damn clear on what happened. It's not until after he left the vehicle, and before he fired the fatal shot that things get fuzzy.
1) Zimmerman spotted Trayvon walking through a yard at night, and thought he was a "suspicious" character. He began following Trayvon in his truck, and dialed the police.
2) Trayvon, on the phone with a friend, noticed he was being followed and tried to lose Zimmerman.
3) Zimmerman lost sight of Trayvon, and got out his car to chase after him, while the 911 dispatcher told him not to.
4) Whether Trayvon confronted Zimmerman or the other way around isn't clear, but they ended up tangling.
5) During the struggle, Trayvon ended up on top of Zimmerman. Zimmerman sustained scrapes to the back of his head from the concrete.
6) Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon.
The only thing that's 100% clear here (or should be) is that Zimmerman followed Trayvon around in his truck, then got out and chased after him when he lost track, against the emergency dispatcher's express instructions. As a result of that, Trayvon was killed. Zimmerman's not a murderer, and his killing may have been done in legitimate fear for his own life, but that does not erase the fact that the only reason he was in that position is because he wanted to play vigilante and chased after the kid. Zimmerman is no hero.
The gratuitous and ugly hero worship of a guy who was put in a bad situation and had to kill a teenager in self defense.
while i sorta agree with you there, i feel like people are only worshipping him as a hero because of how much people love to demonize him
This thread is just absolutely painful to read. Either the posts are overly against Zimmer, or overly against Trayvon
this right here is what i'm talking about
people that probably wouldn't glorify zimmerman's actions are only doing it because there's other people acting like he's worse than hitler
beat the shit out of him to near-death
Nah
while i sorta agree with you there, i feel like people are only worshipping him as a hero because of how much people love to demonize him
You act like that's a rational response.

both extremes are irrational, was his point.
both extremes are irrational, was his point.
I'd like to think it's relative. "Hero" carries a lot heavier connotations than "dangerous vigilante". Also I don't see the point in acting irrational because other people are.
Stalking strangers on public sidewalks with a loaded gun and confronting them because you vaguely suspect they might be a criminal is something a dangerous asshole does.
You should be allowed to do that if you're a cop.
What.
Are you telling me that if I was a officer of the law and I seen someone in a hoodie go down the street at night looking vaguely suspicious I can confront them with a gun? Please turn around.
while i sorta agree with you there, i feel like people are only worshipping him as a hero because of how much people love to demonize him
Just to clarify, I don't think Zimmerman is a hero for what he did. I just hate the constant bullshit of "He's a no good racist that was looking for trouble".
Even an actual racist wouldn't be stupid enough to call the police about a black person and then enter a fight on purpose with said black person.
Meh, I'd also concede this is also more showboating than anything. Zimmerman should just allow himself to fade into obscurity as said before.

Define "confront with a gun". It's perfectly acceptable to confront someone with a gun on your person, versus holding one in their face.

Dude is there video of lowtax getting bodied? But even moreso, I'd like to see him box that little shit that's always his sidekick in those videos.
I wonder if the real reason for taking the fight is to become relevant again
Like the 300 other times
I was speculating on this as well, the dude is so fucking desperate to get back in the game (no pun intended) almost every single one of his songs has some sort of name drop to another artist, teaming up with Tyler the Creator (few years back he said groups like that would be the death of hiphop) and he steals pictures of luxurious shit from other peoples instagrams just to get a social following.

Kinda makes sense, I suppose.
I mean, after all of the shit that happened, you'd think it'd be hard to get a regular job and be treated like a human being.

Yes and certain people have a terrible sense of humor.

Are you one of those people that keep yelling about how this was an act of racist murder when just about everything shown in court determined otherwise? I mean, especially the fact that Trayvon's girlfriend, aka pretty much one of the only witnesses, was caught lying under oath, the fact that the blood found on the scene was confirmed to be Zimmerman's, etc.
I for one, am still glad that we're having these arguments about the case, and that all the people who think we should "just forget about the guy" are STILL arguing about it, once again bringing attention to a guy who shouldn't have any attention at all
but I thought zimmerman was a chubby 5'8 and game is a big hulking black guy?
i hope zimmerman still has some teeth once it's over
if he survives

The Game is just a big baby who's getting involved with things he shouldn't be involved with. It would be fucking awesome if ZimZam would knock him out.

Mugshots always look terrible
DMX without a doubt could still wreck Zimmerman, and since he already said he's going to break every rule in the book with the sole intention of squashing Zimmerman's face, as well as his taking up the cause of "every black person who has been done wrong in the system" as his motivation for doing so, Zimmerman is going to get dunked

That is if they even let them into the ring when they've openly said that "imma fuck dat cracka into little crackas, trayvon4eva".
Here's a hint: They won't.

I don't know what Zimmerman and the organizers could have expected from this if not hostility from most if not all of his opponents. It seems like the whole point of offering people the chance to fight him.
I don't know what Zimmerman and the organizers could have expected from this if not overwhelming hostility.
Not much else maybe, but for the rappers who have been out of the spotlight for a long period of time it's a great marketing trick to make them relevant again.
It's up to the individual to decide which is worse, riding the #Justice4Trayvon train to forward your own shriveled career, or building a charity that would no doubt attract some sort of hostility, but would also potentially do some good.
Hey guys remember me I'm that guy from that case well you should come box me but let's leave that case behind us why are you bringing that up I'm just a guy
I'll box anyone unless they acknowledge I was a part of that case
