;35887795']I imagine being finally over with the big transition phases would be a simply amazing feeling, though.
I can't speak for that (I've just started hormone therapy) but I assume it is. [editline]9th May 2012[/editline]
It is about more than the shape and functionality of their genitals.
Like what? To say that they're still "men"? Because if so that's invalidating their identity and is transphobic.
;35887795']I imagine being finally over with the big transition phases would be a simply amazing feeling, though.
Yeah, a feeling to be "normal" what everyone else already is.
It is about more than the shape and functionality of their genitals.
The reaction would be caused by confusion about the situation, since first you would think that you just had sex with a guy(if MtF), thus making you gay. If you know enough about trans-things or have to live with yourself or someone close enough being trans you are much more accepting and you wouldn't be as much shocked or creeped out about the fact. It just comes down to accepting differences. I mean, honestly, you just had sex with a lady and it was awesome. Then you find out she used to be a male. So what? She was a lady in the first place, just her body was wrong, you just have to accept the fact. I understand it is hard to accept for people who haven't seen or understood what being trans means.

I'm on my phone so it's difficult to type.
It is about more than the shape and functionality of their genitals.
So you could be in a completely loving, sexual relationship with someone who you genuinely believe is a good person for say, years. Then they tell you they used to be a man physically. OH SHIT SUDDENLY THEY'RE WEIRD GET AWAY FROM ME [editline]9th May 2012[/editline]
I can't speak for that (I've just started hormone therapy) but I assume it is.
At least you're on your way :)

OH SHIT SUDDENLY THEY'RE WEIRD GET AWAY FROM ME
uh yeah I could imagine most people regardless of how accepting they are of GSMs being weirded out by that
The dress really compliments his massive arms.
he's a woman now mate.
;35887953']At least you're on your way :)
Yeah, and I've been really positive about it c: [editline]9th May 2012[/editline]
uh yeah I could imagine most people regardless of how accepting they are of GSMs being weirded out by that
Why though? If you fell in love with the person why should it matter?
If you didn't notice until she told you, why would you even give a shit?
I'm just being honest here. I'm all for equality and understanding and all that good stuff but if this were to happen to me, I would probably be physically ill.
I mean, honestly, you just had sex with a lady and it was awesome. Then you find out she used to be a male. So what? She was a lady in the first place, just her body was wrong, you just have to accept the fact. I understand it is hard to accept for people who haven't seen or understood what being trans means.
Except that instead of having had sex with a woman, you just realised you had sex with an inside out penis. I'm not going to tip toe around this if you think it's ok for someone to not let their partner know they are trans
Why though? If you fell in love with the person why should it matter?
because things like that matter. waiting years and years to tell somebody is dishonest
It's alright Tom, you haven't had a good album since 2003. I still love you.
Except that instead of having had sex with a woman, you just realised you had sex with an inside out penis.
Your argument is invalid If you really think a neo-vagina is just an "inside out penis".
Your argument is invalid If you really think a neo-vagina is just an "inside out penis".
pretty sure he was being facetious bud. I don't think anybody is stupid enough to think that MtF's literally have inverted penises
I'm just being honest here. I'm all for equality and understanding and all that good stuff but if this were to happen to me, I would probably be physically ill.
Also the "I'm not transphobic BUT *insert extremely transphobic statement*" doesn't fly.
Also the "I'm not transphobic BUT *insert extremely transphobic statement*" doesn't fly.
being uncomfortable with the fact that somebody you were in a relationship with for years reveals themselves to be MtF does not make you a transphobe
Edit: Poor analogy that in no way was meant to offend
I don't even know why I'm arguing this, Facepunch does this everytime someone posts anything about transgendered people. I'm just wasting my words arguing with this.
Let's say a friend serves you up a big bowl of chocolate ice cream. It's delicious and you eat every last bit of it, only for your friend to reveal it was actually whipped cat shit with chocolate flavouring added. If you enjoyed it, why should you care? It looked the same as ice cream, and it tasted the same as ice cream, did it not? Oh wait, you'd be fucking disgusted.
this however is transphobic [editline]9th May 2012[/editline]
He said he would be physically disgusted to have found out if he slept with a trans-woman, so yeah, that's pretty transphobic.
no it wasn't. he was being hyperbolic
this however is transphobic [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] no it wasn't. he was being hyperbolic
Well it didn't send that message to me when he wrote it.

It'd be more like the thought eating vanilla ice cream makes you vomit, your friend serves you chocolate ice cream (so he says), you finish it and he later reveals it used to be vanilla, but he added flavoring and something to color it so it looked and tasted like chocolate (keep in mind that I have no idea how chocolate ice cream is made and if this is actually how it's done then screw you :v:)
Oh wait, you'd be fucking disgusted.
I wouldn't give a shit. If it can effectively emulate ice cream there is no difference.
You're a "fucking disgusting" person for make such a comparison.
he essentially called trans people broken. idk what he was thinking
this however is transphobic
I didn't know how else to put it in a way that would get my point across. I can't help that I was born heterosexual, so for you to say I should be fine with having sex with someone who isn't a female is kind of insulting.
I didn't know how else to put it in a way that would get my point across. I can't help that I was born heterosexual, so for you to say I should be fine with having sex with someone who isn't a female is kind of insulting.
Because we are female you bigot.

I think it's understandable but probably in a different way than you do
Because we are female you bigot.
You can't see how some people would still feel uncomfortable finding out AFTER you've had sex that you used to be male?
That's not really a fair comparison. And no, I didn't mean to imply anyone is 'disgusting'. How about: -you were born allergic to vanilla ice cream (ie you were born heterosexual) -friend serves you chocolate ice cream -turns out it was vanilla with chocolate flavouring added -friend (people in this thread) says "lol why u mad for???"
You can't see how some people would still feel uncomfortable finding out AFTER you've had sex that you used to be male?
I can see, but only from a transphobic view point. If they are female why do you care? Besides transphobic feelings which platinumcs made pretty clear he has with that last post.
How about, you were born allergic to vanilla ice cream (ie you were born heterosexual)
please don't ever compare sexuality or gender identity to ice cream. it never works
