Ironically, by internalizing this belief that all white men are evil, racist, sexist rapists and pushing them away and mocking them for the sole act of existing in the first place, new age feminism is doing the exact opposite of what we'll call "positive feminism" set out to do. It's separating men and women and pushing them apart, eliminating any kind of rapport, which was critical in how original feminism succeeded in the old days. It's setting a precedent for extremism, in short. Feminism is extremely important to me, but at this point i can only sit and watch as positive progress is halted, then reversed. The tumblr model of feminism and social """"advancement"""" became the norm. It's just depressing to watch. These people are full of bile and hatred, just because they can. It's come down to petty snubs and the twisting of the original ideals that i and many others hold so dearly. I totally understand that there exist in this world a number of sexist/racist pigs. But you know what? How are you supposed to know which individual you meet fits that description until you talk to them? In the end that's not really what they care about though. What they say is that they want a "safe space" for women and minorities, and i'm like yeah.... ok...i can sort of get on board with that? Kinda? But what that implies is that ALL women and ALL minorities NEED that "safe space". Which immediately sets a precedence: If ALL women and ALL minorities need a safe space, who ever else DOESNT need a safe space MUST be the reason why this safe space exists at all. In this case, it's white men. And from the get go, white men have become the enemy. They bring up the slave history and european imperialism and shit like that, right? All of which has been undone over a century ago, mind you. And they set this ideal that white people should be shameful just for existing because of all these bad things that this collective idea of "white people" as a whole did over a hundred years ago, then berate them for feeling "white guilt". Slavery and Imperialism was fucked, yes. But if you really want to turn the tables on them, the truth is that the white man didn't invent slavery, nor imperialism, and was definitely not the only one to perpetrate them. The only reason europeans got african slaves in the first place was because violent tribes near the western cost of africa sold off the conquered men, women, and children of rival tribes to the european traders for weapons. They didn't sweep in and conquer and kill tribes themselves. The true perpetrator of African Slavery, ironically, was Africans. Not to mention the most recent country to hold an empire was Japan, and behind that, the Ottoman Empire. Neither or which are European. PLUS, the idea that POC(which on it's own is a troublesome term, to collectively group every single non-white minority into a single, easy-to-term group is pretty racist on it's own) being dominated by white people in general is ameri-centric, completely ignoring any kind of social structuring in other countries. To wrap this up because it's 6:15 and i should have gone to bed like 3 hours ago, everything about tumblr feminism and social justice is ignorant and even racist in it's own right. Ironic and hilarious all at once. People should realize just how many people believe in this definition of racism. It's a huge academic powerhouse. I always find it funny that these people will say "that's not racism, that's just discrimination." Discrimination on ethnic or racial lines. Totally not racism. And they have no explanation for minorities who hold racist views of other minorities. It must be a complete mystery to them.

Diversity and equality! Oh. Except for white men of course. God dammit people this isn't that hard. Diversity and equality mean something and you're values are against it.

It's tumblr, a few of the people on there are bloody crazy. If you veiw on a subject or a word comes purely from the actions of people on tumblr you need to take a break from reddits TiA. Cis is a discriptive and scientific term which is used not just for gender but science too, e.g. trans fat and cis fat. Faggot is not a descriptive term it is a slur.
