Of course you're not really gonna be personally sad if it's someone you don't know dies, but i'd still give a fuck if a few thousand people got murdered.

This reminds me of the time when they came to a high-school near by, me and about 12 of my friends came right next to them with signs saying "GOD HATES WESTBORO CHURCH", then on the opposite side of the road another part of the group have signs that say "SATAN WILL KILL ALL THE NON-BELIEVERS", then about 15 feet to the left of the "Satanists", "Atheists will fuck the Westburo Church up, also there is no god." They left early that day.

Alright, I'm going to try and put this as eloquently as I can, and what's more far more eloquently than I want to. To the people saying they have the right to: that's absolutely, 100% right. I may see it as morally reprehensible, others may, but they're still within their rights. Free speech is a double-edged sword at times, and we have to just accept that. I do. I really do. It's part of the law and it's a principle that this country was founded upon. However. Do you know what else is spoken of in the law? Harassment. There are laws against it and it's punishable by law. The Westboro Baptist Church has jumped so far over the line between free speech and harassment it's not even funny. Free speech is spewing their hateful "sermons" in their church, or in the town the funeral is being held in even. Harassment, BLATANT harassment is camping outside of the graveyard and shouting at the funeral that the dearly deceased are heathens that deserved to die because their supposed God hates America. Not for any crime, not for any personal fault, but because they think that they deserved it. That's harassment, that's unnecessary and hurtful. In a time of grieving and vulnerability they come to the families and insult the dead. [I]That[/I] is what's morally reprehensible, and as much as I want to say it warrants their murder it doesn't. It does, however, warrant a cease and desist order at the very least.
