Oh boy, just as I'm joining the military! Time to get ready for war. edit: i love you too, daijitsu, you scamp
What if all these issues are being caused by North Korea using a bad english to korean translation all of it was a misunderstanding
North korea sure looks like a drunk man wanting to "fight" right now.

The hell is wrong with them, holy shit Worse than Steve Irwin ever thought about being
When they say "cancel" cease-fire that could mean they want a actual peace agreement, not necessarily war.
they think they're canceling a cease fire. really all they're doing is putting a giant bullseye on their half of the country... [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] they launch missiles into the ocean. NK is like the socialite nation, all they ever do is scream for attention one way or another. noone gives a fuck about you north korea... nobody likes you.
If this actually happens then Seoul would be destroyed in less than 15 minutes.
Didn't they just say they didn't want to "do war?" :v: It's pretty damn obvious we won't be able to deal with North Korea diplomatically so it may be time to just get this over with. Either way, it'll be a blood bath for both sides sadly.
Honestly, I'm having my doubts as to the capabilities of the KPA. They will be almost entirely reliant on mobile artillery to inflict any serious damage beyond their own border, their equipment is outdated, and nobody would assist them in case of war. The biggest problem would be the civilian casualties on the North Korean side.
If this actually happens then Seoul would be destroyed in less than 15 minutes.
No it wouldn't. The only potential threat would be an atomic bomb using their newly demonstrated missile technology, but I'm fairly certain it would be obliterated the moment they fired it.
If this actually happens then Seoul would be destroyed in less than 15 minutes.
Right until NK's "massive payload" completely fails before even launch.
The only potential threat would be an atomic bomb using their newly demonstrated missile technology, but I'm fairly certain it would be obliterated the moment they fired it.
Considering their probable first attack will be Seoul and the NW islands, yes they would be hit pretty hard. You are correct that they rely on mobile LRA and outdated ballistic missiles, but the first few days would be where they inflict the most damage in South Korea, and any nearby naval presence that's caught in the vicinity of their coastal defense cruise missiles. Their MRBMs, and possible ICBMs would be easy to repel though.
NK has plenty of artillery pointed at Seoul last I checked.
They have 17 sites that are within range of Seoul, all of which are known. In case of war, all of them would be dust before you could say Pyongyang. [editline]5th March 2013[/editline] One assumes, of course. I'm no expert.
This is the exact thing I went over in my U.S. History class today, the cease-fire of the Korean war. Then I see this. :suicide:
If this actually happens then Seoul would be destroyed in less than 15 minutes.
The Soviets couldn't completely destroy Berlin or even kill a fraction of it's inhabitants with literally weeks of constant heavy artillery/katyusha saturation, what makes you think North Korea will be able to destroy Seoul with a few minutes - a few hours of fragmentation artillery?

Line 'em up at the DMZ and fire away.
If I were living in Seoul I'd be moving right the fuck out around now.
Oh goodness, cousins part of the US detachment there, I really dont want this to happen ):
Now I am all against most intervention abroad. But can the government just start saying that if NK keeps this kind of fuckery up we aren't afraid to liberate the shit out of them?
They are a somewhat serious threat - they have a fuckton more military than SK even if they are just screaming for more food
I keep thinking more and more that North Korea is like one of those psycho ex's who kills their ex (South Korea) and then themselves that you hear about on the news. We know they are crazy, and they literally want to reunify with South Korea so badly that them purposely shooting South Korea and nuking themselves afterwards (they are too arrogant to surrender nor would want to live with destroying Seoul) to reunify in some crazy juche/religious context doesn't seem so out of the question.
North Korea is seriously fucking stupid if they don't realize the consequences of doing that. They don't have China to back them up this time. They'll be fucked.
The fireworks explode upon launch, killing nobody
One man scratched by bottle rocket.

And propably filled with air raid shelters. I blame South Korea for their own deaths. What fucking moron decides, "Hey, yeah, let's just build our capital hub of culture and everything RIGHT NEXT TO AN UNSTABLE COUNTRY WE'RE TECHNICALLY AT WAR WITH!" If war does happen, SK has had over 50 years to prevent the casualties, it's just as much their fault as NK's for any civilian deaths.

It's the fault of any citizen who dies in a war for existing in the first place.

At the very least I hope they have built shelters and other defenses within the city to help protect the people.
Meanwhile, inside NK's nuclear test facilities:

Why doesn't Afghanistan just move it's capital to Idaho and escape the Taliban???
