There was a little update on the local news. They said the mother was holding the kid on top of the railing or whatever it was. Point being, moms at fault.

Wow I had no idea painted dogs were the type of animal to immediately swarm and devour a small kid, learn something new everyday Especially since wild canines normally don't really like to hunt people, and they tend be more alarmed by them more than anything. I'm guessing its a mix of them thinking it was dinner time, with them being used to being around people. Or the article is a little misleading, and what ended up probably happening is the three year old tried to give a doggy a hug or something and somehow nobody noticed.

I'm confused. Did no one read the article or was it updated? It clearly says the mother put the kid on the railing so he could see them. This is just another great parenting story.

So if someone, even a kid, goes in their pen then they attack the intruder, that's what it was. Hunting was not a part of it.

This shit pisses me off on so many levels. Of course, there's the fact that a child died due to parental stupidity. An animal also had to die because of something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. And now, people will bitch about the dogs, and possibly more will die as a result. They just fucking got these things. This shit is "this is why we can't have nice things" in a nutshell. And some people are talking about stricter safety measures to prevent this shit. This is why we can't have the luxury of "close but safe enclosures for everyone with an IQ over 2". It needs to be idiot proof, and everyone else suffers for it. Fuck.

I don't think the police officer shooting the dog was uncalled for, I mean it did refuse to leave the corpse (And maybe they thought he may have still been alive by a slight chance.) and I'm guessing it was pretty aggressive too.. Last time I went to a zoo, I was like.. three or four. Tigers were my shit, I fucking loved them. They were just big-ass orange kitty cats to me. Saw they had a tiger exhibit, was one of those with a glass wall encircling the enclosure so you could walk right up to the glass and look at them. One of the bastards lunged at me and got caught by the glass. Everyone laughed, my parents laughed, the zoo-keeper laughed I shit my pants ([b]seriously[/b]) and started crying. Never again.
