This is why I like Australia. Instead of avoiding the awkward issue and maintaining an unsteady peace, we bring it into the open and fuck everything up. I'd much rather we sorted the issues out in conflict rather than just pretend it's not there in peace.
And if that doesn't work you ban it into oblivion
I'm going to feed a Qur'an to my dog.
What a dipshit. E: my point is this: "Seriously, what a nong thing to do. He'll probably lose his job, or suffer a major hit, and all for a petty little protest."
You're just butthurt he did something against Christianity.
Incoming massive shitstorm
IQ is not a recognition of intelligence. If you think it is, you're in need of help. Even the people who make IQ tests understand it is not a proper intelligence test. It is a simple pattern recognition test which encompasses other areas with the use of patterns. That's it. It is not a fucking test of intelligence. For being a "Freethinker", you're so painfully locked into dumb ideas.
I and most of the psychologists think that IQ tests measure intelligence. IQ has been shown to strongly correlate with GPA and SAT score.
Facepunch, the international axis of hatred for religon
When muslims burn Bibles it's no big deal, but when anyone else burns Koran it means war...
I and most of the psychologists think that IQ tests measure intelligence. IQ scores have been shown to strongly correlate with GPA and SAT score.
Due to effort. Doesn't make it a god damn intelligence test. Most psychologists DON'T agree with you. Most think it's an effective test, but don't believe it truly shows intelligence. There's more to intelligence than just fucking patterns. You can't say that a baby 2 years old who scored some 188 on the IQ test is actually a genius. No, it's incredible pattern recognition. Also, Correlation =/= causation. That REALLY goes without saying here.

I mean, for fucks sakes, I can find people who did terrible on SAT's and GPA and have huge IQ's. It isn't a fucking intelligence test.

There are "lazy Einsteins" (People who are really smart, but don't do any work) thus lowering whatever grade they have. [editline]03:59PM[/editline] There are so many variables that decide the GPA it's not even funny.
ADHD - a disorder which impairs attention and motivation has been shown to affect only one sub-test due to the lack of attention, and not others.
This. And yes, IQ is an assessment for intelligence.

In fact, I have NO idea how you read that out of there. I'm saying there is no correlation between the two. That was the point of that post. The "lazy Einstein" effect IS EXACTLY what I was talking about. [editline]10:47PM[/editline]
This. And yes, IQ is an assessment for intelligence.
Really? So without a doubt, you can say someone with a 120 IQ is much stupider than someone with a 130? Even though there is almost no way to actually discern that? Hmm. Great logic. [editline]10:47PM[/editline] It's a simple pattern recognition test. Patterns are wickedly important, but they're not all the encompasses intelligence.

Obvious atheist is obvious.

When i was a yout i used to burn holy texts like a rizla
And if that doesn't work you ban it into oblivion
No one supports the politicians who do any of this stuff. People don't care about politics in Australia so they just let everything slide.

What a badass. Fuck religion.
ADHD - a disorder which impairs attention and motivation has been shown to affect only one sub-test due to the lack of attention, and not others.
Nice job talking about a mental disorder you obviously don't have. Please go back in your corner little man and think about what you said because it was retarded. Make a joint from the pages. See Jesus.
You're just butthurt he did something against Christianity.
Ad hominid. Clever of you. Also, no. I don't give a shit what he thinks - I think he's an idiot for putting such a fool-hardy, career ending act on the internet, in an age where people have already lost their jobs for things they say/do on the internet.
I've smoked 3 bible paper joints in my time and I have to say, God was really onto something when he created everything. Who ever thought an omniscient force could invent the perfect rolling paper to go with his fave plant.
I like how they thought he was high when filming it. You can fucking test for that up to two weeks in the blood, and way longer in the hair. For university people, they're idiots. He doesn't even look or sound stoned after the first joint.
Which burned better?
And that in the bag really is grass, and not the good kind. [editline]03:33PM[/editline]
Which burned better?
Broke mah merge :saddowns: And there probably exists biblical rolling paper already :v:

For being a "Freethinker", you're so painfully locked into dumb ideas. Also, I took a Mensa test about 2 years ago, scored 138 or so. I'm bad at pattern recognition and managed to do very well, it's not a fucking concrete test.
Here's a summation of that post: "The IQ test is just a pattern recognition test, and I'm bad at pattern recognition and I scored well. GEE I DIDN'T JUST MAKE MYSELF LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT HERE"
I pulled a 130-something on an exam to get me into the gifted program at my elementary school almost a decade ago, and took another one recently placing me at 141. Despite my supposed "advantage," I struggle to understand concepts my friends receive easily and my GPA reflects a B- average on the baseline curriculum, without any AP or honors classes. I do not slack off, and I have never needed disciplinary action to correct my actions in school. I have talked to the doctor about ADHD and he says it's extremely unlikely that I have it or need medication. My best friend has ADHD and has had it since before I met him. He entered the gifted program two years after I did with an IQ about the same as mine. When he took the same exam as me on our entrance to high school, he scored 138, three points lower than I did, yet he is currently holding a 3.7 GPA while taking AP Music Theory and AP Government. I have other fiends who aren't even above the 130 mark who are taking on the collegiate high school program. I know it's anecdotal evidence and can't really be taken all that seriously, but I personally can't trust the results of an IQ test as being a definitive measurement of a person's intelligence.
