One of the improvements they can do is add some free roaming sequences, I've always wanted to see what the city looked like with people and cars and stuff.

Free roaming multiplayer please
it takes time to make a game
Yes, but they keep saying "it's a possibility," not "yes, it's being developed as we speak."
Hope they get rid of guns. Felt ten times cooler to kick a bunch of soldier firing at you without firing a shot yourself.
I really liked how there were guns in the game, but they were really underpowered compared to melee combat.
Haha wow I just started re-playing this a few days ago and this news comes out :v: , I hope they don't add unnecessary graphics improvements cause even though the original game is released in 2009 the visuals are still one of the best video game art designs I've seen.
Free roaming multiplayer please
with all these rumors of ME2 using Frostbite 2, that could very well be a possibility. However had ME2 used the UE3 engine like Mirror's Edge does it would be impossible thanks to the way the levels are loaded in the game.
Essentially, the game loads only the section of the level you are in, so it dices up the entire level into sections.

It's not exactly like 2009 was a long time ago, or that there have been any real big leaps in graphics technology in the meantime...

This, so much this.
Am I the only one who thought the ending of Mirror's Edge was stupid?

story wasn't really good at all honestly. not even that the "story" itself was bad, it just was presented really flimsily and i never paid any attention to it at all.

Interestingly enough they put more detail into the city's background itself than the actual plot. There's virtually no substance to the plot and does it rarely thicken in the game. Probably one of the game's only drawback - with a solid writer ME2 could be amazing.
I would play a CoD-like multiplayer with the running mechanics the first game had. I expected this with brink but was very dissapointed.
Gun you use impedes movement?
Pistol - no penalty except worse climbing unless stowed
SMG - slightly worse everything
Shotgun - Even worse
Sniper rifle - Makes you essentially a sitting duck

It's about giving you the option. I always found it cooler to mix and match different fighting styles.

Whenever I've replayed it, I've found myself skipping all the cutscenes and treating it like an awesome arcade game with nothing to link the different chapters.
There are quite a few hints regarding ME in BF3 too.

Only variations of it..

as far as i know it's just an instrumental version of still alive by lisa miskovsky
How to instantly make Mirrors Ledge 2 the strongest:
Massive environment
More elaborate running and climbing around
level Editor.
don't cheaply implement guns just for the sake of having something to shoot with
Snarf the side kick who becomes 2nd player in co-op (voiced by Joe Pasquale)
I'm hoping for Co-Op where the second player plays as, say, Faith's sister.
I liked the idea behind Mirror's Edge but found it impossible to do without lots of cheap random deaths. So many times I would come to a junction, with every way except one being a dead end and unescapable death. If they added in more paths to each level so that you don't have to memorise the correct paths to take when running away from people who are shooting at you and you really don't have time to stop and think about where you're going - you just go, I'd be really impressed with it. Basically, add free-roam!
If they make ME2 Solar Fields better come back for the soundtrack
solar fields is just fuckin amazing

switch to headset, fullscreen, enjoy
I'd rather it be single player only so they can focus on the story and not how to design a level so multiple people can fuck around on it.
I'm gonna pick Mirrors Edge up if it goes cheap in the sale.
Sounds like a hidden gem I missed years ago

It definitely is. The art style, visuals, and gameplay are fantastic and it's worth getting.

Inb4 the trailer for Mirrors Edge 2 is a quick cut, slow motion, dubstep filled "ACTION PACKED" one.
Mirror's Edge Premium.
[editline]15th July 2012[/editline]
But yeah, I'd like to see ME2.
Here's hoping it's a free-roam sandbox where you have to run around establishing runner networks with a hint of RPG elements.
as far as i know it's just an instrumental version of still alive by lisa miskovsky
I have like 3-4 instrumental versions with me and its not exactly (any part of ) the instrumental version. I did a very deep search for that specific track and couldnt find it. Only the trailer versions with the other sounds included (running, sliding, breathing).
Eventually I came across the community forums, where a couple of threads talked about it. DICE decided not to release that track.
The only significant difference in the audio (from the Still alive version) is the part when Faith does the wall run.
I tried to like Mirror's Edge, but I just couldn't. It was mostly the linear levels.
You give me that type of movement and restrict me to a path? Did it become more open later on?
