I would totally buy an album of him singing with NOFX or Anti-Flag
You can if you are singing to a crowd of people who are all angry about the US stationing 32,000 US troops in your country.
and running over two of your countryman without consequence.
if this was a thread about nickelback releasing a song about fucking up South Korea this thread would be very different.
Probably because Nickelback wouldn't have the excuse of 32,000 South Korean Soldiers coming to America and running over two innocent people without consequence from their superiors? And they might not have made a formal apology, either.
this guys going to be fucking crucified.
I think he's right. Frankly we should just kill off all those corrupt fucks in the military and replace them with more upstanding people. It's been almost a decade but not a lot has changed.
I think he's right. Frankly we should just kill off all those corrupt fucks in the military and replace them with more upstanding people. It's been almost a decade but not a lot has changed.
Yeah, we should replace our military leaders with more upstanding, moral people - people who will gladly purge their command structure in as violently a way possible rather than just reforming their justice system. That's the American way, and damned if it isn't! Can you say "Stalinesque"?
He's apologized and deeply regrets writing it. I'm sure you've made some bad mistakes before too, right?
I've never sang a song about a desire to murder all American soldiers slowly and painfully. And their families as well. If you're a celebrity, it's pretty hard to do something worse than that short of actually committing murder.
Considering South Korea might not have even existed without our help, an Anti-American concert is sort of... hypocritical.
and running over two of your countryman without consequence.
Weren't they two schoolgirls? or did I mis-read.. either way it's horrible that it happened. Also honestly the song sounds pretty eh.
I think he's right. Frankly we should just kill off all those corrupt fucks in the military and replace them with more upstanding people. It's been almost a decade but not a lot has changed.
While I'm not going to deny there are some crazy fucks in the military, not everyone is evil.
Considering South Korea might not have even existed without our help, an Anti-American concert is sort of... hypocritical.
Do americans really think they created the world and everyone should be thankful?
Do americans really think they created the world and everyone should be thankful?
We kind of helped South Korea when Korea was going through its civil war. Seeing as even with our help, the war ended in a draw, it's not a huge jump to say that without us, they might have lost.
So, you people do realize that some changes did occur after the deaths of the two schoolgirls right? It's not like the US just shrugged their shoulders and said "Oops, Whaddaya gonna do?" Not to mention the vast majority of South Koreans are very supportive of the US and have no qualms with having US forces stationed in their country.
you can deny it all you like, this is spreading like wildfire and will destroy his "career".
you can deny it all you like, this is spreading like wildfire and will destroy his "career".
I think he can rest easy with in multi-millions especially as he's bored of Gangnam style.
reading his facebook comments is depressing
Do americans really think they created the world and everyone should be thankful?
Considering the blue area was South Korea before we intervened We pretty much saved there asses.
reading his facebook comments is depressing
Oh god, I wish Al Qaeda gave out a "Man of the Year" award, that would be hilarious.
you can deny it all you like, this is spreading like wildfire and will destroy his "career".
maybe in america, a place where he didn't have a "career" before this song
Considering the blue area was South Korea before we intervened We pretty much saved there asses.
it's actually p dubious how when communism was gaining support in vietnam and korea, US stepped in to install right wing strongman governments which in both cases started directly "supressing" commies out of politics and society and when the revolting started american troops were sent to the aid. thats infact not how you democracy (and led to guerilla warfare where bushwhackers supported by the large peasant populace were quite the annoyance for the regime)
Hundreds of thousands of people in the US hold anti-Middle East sentiment and it is basically just accepted. Why is a guy on the other side of the fence not allowed to do the same?
While I hold nothing against Psy, for we've all done stupid regrettable things in our lives, but... Both sides of that argument are wrong. Just because someone else does it doesn't mean you can. Germany committed genocide on the Jews, does that mean the Jews can commit genocide to the Germans now? No. That logic is fucked. Both sides are wrong and need to be regarded as disgraceful. Seeing as even with our help, the war ended in a draw, it's not a huge jump to say that without us, they might have lost.
We actually had the whole thing at one point, but the damned general ignored orders and tried to go for China, essentially losing his defensive line on the end of the peninsula. The Chinese flooded in over the lines and took back half. One of the worst military failures the US has ever seen, IMO.

[editline]8th December 2012[/editline]
Do americans really think they created the world and everyone should be thankful?
Wealth and taste sure does. It was purely America.
maybe in america, a place where he didn't have a "career" before this song
but didn't he have a "worldwide hit"? and the words are that he spreaded hate similar to "islamic extremists". i'm not using quotemarks correctly, sorry.

[editline]8th December 2012[/editline] Yeah you're right, absolutely none of the 21 other countries plus the United Nations had ANYTHING to do with it. The Landing at Inchon especially. It turned the tide of the war in the UN's favor, and the vast majority of landing troops were US Marines, although there were some SK Marines too.
Ah yes, the infamous Cannibal Corpse, behind such classic hits as "Entrails Ripped from a Virgin's Cunt", "Fucked with a Knife", and "Stripped, Raped, and Strangled".
I'm a fan of "Meathook Sodomy" myself
Are people really getting butthurt over something he sang about 8 years ago? It's like people never change their views ever, right?
With how easily most Americans can get offended, it's no surprise this is an issue...
Were all the same? News to me.
