SEOUL – North Korea has tested short-range missiles in the Sea of Japan (known as the East Sea in Korea), in an apparent attempt to counter-act joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported. “North Korea test-launched a short-range missile in the East Sea [Sea of Japan] this afternoon, amid the ongoing security crisis on the Korean peninsula following Pyongyang’s third nuclear test last month,” Yonhap news said. The source, Yonhap said, was a military source within the South Korean government. The North Korean military launched two KN-02 short-range missiles into international waters, the report said. KN-02 missiles are mobile missiles. Based on the Soviet-era OTR-21 Tochka, they are launched from the back of SCUD-like trucks (see above headline image) and, of all North Korean missiles, they have the shortest range, as the above BBC infographic shows. The short-range missile is a domestic variant of the Syrian ‘Scarab A’ missile, and has a range of 120-140km. It is usually used to take out large building targets and, when miniaturized, can carry a small, tactical, nuclear load. John Swenson-Wright senior lecturer in East Asian International Relations at the University of Cambridge told NK NEWS earlier today “the danger of uncontrolled escalation in this situation seems real and therefore something to be managed very very carefully.” “The real problem is one of miscalculation and misjudgement by either side – with the North believing it can risk a provocation comparable to the 2010 Yeonpyeong shelling, and the South determined to respond decisively.”
Source The pathetic part is, they were probably aiming for Japan itself.
RIP fishes.
Shit got me scared.
What a title :tinfoil:
Saw this in the ticker. Knew it was sensationalist, got a heart attack anyways.
Jesus Christ man don't scare me like that
they were probably aiming for the sea, I don't see them actually starting an attack on Japan using their smallest missiles
The Great Leader has blessed us with the opportunity to see our country's might! This missile carries our hearts, ambitions, children and life with it! 우리의 위대한 지도자 만세!

Please North Korea, shove a missile up my ass, The amount of BULLSHIT and THREATS you make have me in awe.
Dat title. Honestly though, if Korea and the US can run naval drills in the nearby sea I suppose NK may test a few short-range regular ballistic missiles. Nothing is likely to come out of that. They weren't threatening to land them on someones head this time, or?
they were probably aiming for the sea, I don't see them actually starting an attack on Japan using their smallest missiles
I think if they were actually aiming for the sea they'd hit Japan.

One of these days though, shit's gonna go down on the Korean peninsula and the thread announcing it in this forum is going to be something like "North Korean missile test hits 'unintended' target" and it'll really be Seoul being bombed.
God dammit [T]http://i.imgur.com/Bqaw2eb.jpg[/T] It scared me
Okay North Korea, Stop, your asking for something REALLY bad to happen if you keep doing this.
Keep waving your dick around in front of a bear and eventually he'll slash it off. Keep it up NK.
Keep waving your dick around in front of a bear and eventually he'll slash it off. Keep it up NK.
I don't think russia will invade nk
Am I really going to have to go to war with NK when I join the military? It's looking like I'm going to have to.
Am I really going to have to go to war with NK when I join the military? It's looking like I'm going to have to.
a north korean war would most likely be a missile exchange rather than an invasion/trench war. well, there'd be as much missile exchange as north korea can allow, which is to say, none.
That title make me jump out of my flipping chair. OT:Nothing good can come from this, North Korea is heading towards 2 destinations. Death by invasion, or Death by starvation. They have to much pride to stop now.
Keep waving your dick around in front of a bear and eventually he'll slash it off. Keep it up NK.
Link to this story?
They remind me of those kids that stomp the ground, trying to provoque dogs, and when they actually touch the dog in any way, they get bitten real bad.
When I entered the sub thread, all I say was "North Korea launches..." and I was like. Fuck.
They remind me of those kids that stomp the ground, trying to provoque dogs, and when they actually touch the dog in any way, they get bitten real bad.
Naaah it's not like that, if everyone's underestimating their capabilities , or just generally speaking, it's not gonna be fun for either side, especially if troops are sent in.
Keep waving your dick around in front of a bear and eventually he'll slash it off. Keep it up NK.
And while that bear is slashing the dick of an annoying rat, the wolves see an opportunity...
Got vertigo then

So we're going to intervene when it's too late then right? This dick-waving has gone too far. They're launching missiles in the direction of other countries. Eventually they will do something stupid and innocents will get hurt.
