Oh.
Who am i thinking of then.
Probably Putin
And here come the conspiracy theories.
I hope you mean conspiracy as in "Actual stuff that happens, has happened and will keep on happening. Possible, but we might not know for a good couple of years".
Do you have any idea what this coup is trying to do? Is it going to put in a democratically elected government or is it just going to be another one that ends up with a dictator
They claimed they are fighting for democracy and the constitution, and would respect human-rights.
So far at least, it could have been a lot more bloody, so I am not expecting a "general takes absolute command" dictatorship like coop.
And here come the conspiracy theories.
theories came the moment this thing started. its turkey. shit goes down every month
especially when they hold b61 nuclear bombs

No one at Incirlik is leaving, they've just closed off themselves from the outside.
So, it failed huh. Shit.
Turkey will be the new Haven of Islamic radicals.
And here come the conspiracy theories.
Well it's a coup so it's a conspiracy either way.
Turns out the ones who organized the coup were Gülenists, which are way worse than Erdoğan.
[sp]as you can see how they sprayed down civillians with helis[/sp]

The future is even darker now.
People are scrambling to get their money http://www.businessinsider.com/people-withdraw-money-in-turkey-amid-military-uprising-2016-7
The machines will probably be all out when the last person uses it
Oh.

The Nazi party got the majority of the votes back then.
Hindenburg made the mistake of thinking he could control Hitler when appointing him chancellor.
The rest is history.
We support what people believe to be the right guys at the time, and then those guys get power and fall into being absolute shitheads because it feels like that seems to happen consistently in Middle East.
When we're able to look into the future with 100% certainty, then we'll stop making mistakes on who we support.
But then again, I could be completely wrong. If I am, let me know. Always open to hard facts that wreck my opinions and thoughts on subjects, especially political ones.
Well we kind of just inherited our alliances with Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia from the UK, the guys we supported in Iran fell out of power, and the Syrian rebels we're supporting right now have yet to get in power.

They took over the government TV station they've made a lot of statements, this was from a dutch site that states:
"De militairen grijpen naar eigen zeggen naar de macht om naleving van de grondwet af te dwingen en omdat de regering de democratie zou hebben uitgehold. Ze beloven mensenrechten te respecteren en alle banden met het buitenland te handhaven."
"The military claims to take power for the sake of enforcing the constituation, and the current government has damaged democracy. They promisse to respect human rights, and the connections with foreign countries"

This won't help in any way.
I honestly wondered when this was going to happen. The Turkish military has for a long time been a strongly secular element of the government which help keep the strongly religious within the government in check. With Erdogans hard-line policies ramping up it was only a matter of time before the military or something else took a stand to it.
I like how in this day and age where entities can prove their existence through the advent of cryptography people are relying on authentication/news through unverified sources.
holy shit
looks like the dude survived, could see there was a lot of clearance under that tank so long as you don't take a tread you can be lucky. He was in one piece with his arms up on his chest, may be only as bad as slamming his head on the ground
the worst part of this is erdogan is going to spin it and come out even stronger like the cockroach he is
I am wondering whether the coup will fizzle out after meeting this opposition or will go fighting. If the latter could be very bloody and perhaps even civil war
My brother went to Ankara three days ago to work as a trainee in the Norwegian embassy, he's ok but damn, getting the news was scary. I called him on Facebook right before it was shut down and they were all chilling with the Norwegian ambassador and watching the helicopters circling downtown
