this is not the right way to take him down
Thanks for staying reasonable through all this.
this is not the right way to take him down
Are you against Erdogan as well? I'm guessing you feel it's better to try for a democratic ousting if that's the case?
Coups generally last several days. It's just getting started.
Oh well, then I'll just go to bed. Been staying up with my face glued to the screen but sleep doesn't hurt
I oppose the coup, but I think that the failure of the coup is also a complete disaster for Turkey... would rather it wasn't launched in the first place but may be better if it succeeds at this point because afterwards Erdogan will be able to complete his turning of Turkey into a Islamist dictatorship
this is not the right way to take him down
Turkbro, I don't know if there is any other way to take down erdofuck before he scuttled back under the fridge like the cockroach he is
Istanbul, not Constantinople. [sp]been a long time gone, old Constantinople[/sp]
You sound like one of those smartass Irishmen from The Pale
I get the feeling that pro-Erdogan tweets are being spammed everywhere and news are taking them as fact, as well as being too willing to accept government announcements as true. Govt: Coup has been defeated! *Parliament gets bombed by coup three times* Govt: Military loyalists control the country! *Parliament bombed again, take over CNN Turkey*
It comes across as comical ali level stuff.
Alright I got a few questions; First, what is the coup? And second who is the guy on the plane? Sorry for being a bit behind.
A branch of the Air force and navy have apparently staged a coup. The guy on the plane is the elected leader of Turkey.
Jesus the memes being made of erdogan's face on the face time are good shit
Coups generally last several days. It's just getting started.
From all the coup literature I've read (Not going to lie, I only read in depth about Spain and Argentina, the rest were more superficial): If there are only a few regiments which rebel and no more join them or declare them against the status quo of the country, it is highly likely that they've failed. Spain and Argentina had some guys rebelling, and then in the following hours when the news were spread, more rebels followed in popping up in different places of the country. Here we only see this happening in the capital and the top brass has already declared their support for Erdogan.
Alright I got a few questions; First, what is the coup? And second who is the guy on the plane? Sorry for being a bit behind.
The guy on the plane is the president (Dictator really) of Turkey. We don't really know what the coup represents other than a part of the Turkish military.
Turkish Parliament just blew up

Holy shit
Same goes back to the west caring about people being horribly oppressed. This isn't my own egotistical view either, the western governments seems to agree that its' best to keep everything stable when its' possible even if its ethically wrong.
Just because the Western governments think it's a good idea doesn't mean it's set in concrete as a good idea. Keeping Erdogan in power doesn't lead to stability either, with all of those allegations of him supporting ISIS. This coup was inevitable.
Damn, that's an explosion.
Jesus fuck
Turkish Parliament just blew up [IMG_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cnck-uzXEAAGnZw.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
Going to go out on a limb here and say that the coup probably isn't over yet.
How many times is the media keep going to say the coup "failed"

Are you against Erdogan as well? I'm guessing you feel it's better to try for a democratic ousting if that's the case?
im totally against him. democracy cant take erdogan down right now, people are uneducated. they dont know what they are doing. they cant see what is going on, they think about certain topics and nothing else. and erdogan knows how to use these topics to get them to their side. i respect their votes but their votes got us to this
The fact that he landed while this is ongoing is fucking insane
Citizens are getting shot. WARNING GRAPHIC! https://www.facebook.com/muslu.apo.5
Dude that was strong as fuck. That guy...you know which one....oh my god.
That guy shot so much that he was torn half apart. What the fuck.
Oh fuck
Holy fuck. Whoever lives close stay safe.
If the coup fails, I hope its damage gives Erdoğan a big fn headache
